Call-out for Alberta Wheat Commission Nominations – Region 1:
The Alberta Wheat Commission (AWC) interim board of directors wishes to announce that in
accordance with Alberta Regulation 134/2012 it is seeking nominations for two (2) Directors and
three (3) Regional Representatives representing region 1. The Directors and Regional
Representatives for region 1 will represent growers in that region; they must grow wheat in that
region and be a member of the AWC to be eligible. The initial term of office is for 1 year.
Nominations need to be in writing and filed at the Commission’s head office by Wednesday,
October 31, 2012. The nomination needs to be signed by at least 3 eligible producers from
region 1 and accompanied by the written consent of the eligible producer who is being
nominated as one of the Directors or Regional Representatives for region 1. Elections for this
position will take place at the AWC Regional meeting in Lethbridge on Wednesday, November

The Alberta Wheat Commission (AWC) interim board of directors wishes to announce that in
accordance with Alberta Regulation 134/2012 it is seeking nominations for a Director-at-Large
representing all of Alberta’s wheat producers. The Director-at-Large will represent growers in
regions 1 through 5; they must grow wheat in one of those regions and be a member of the
AWC to be eligible. The initial term of office is for 3 years. Nominations need to be in writing and
filed at the Commission’s head office by Wednesday, October 31, 2012. The nomination needs
to be signed by at least 3 eligible producers and accompanied by the written consent of the
eligible producer who is being nominated as the Director-at-Large. Elections for this position will
take place at the AWC Annual General Meeting in Edmonton on Monday, January 28, 2013.
