Call-out for Alberta Wheat Commission Nominations – Region 1: The Alberta Wheat Commission (AWC) interim board of directors wishes to announce that in accordance with Alberta Regulation 134/2012 it is seeking nominations for two (2) Directors and three (3) Regional Representatives representing region 1. The Directors and Regional Representatives for region 1 will represent growers in that region; they must grow wheat in that region and be a member of the AWC to be eligible. The initial term of office is for 1 year. Nominations need to be in writing and filed at the Commission’s head office by Wednesday, October 31, 2012. The nomination needs to be signed by at least 3 eligible producers from region 1 and accompanied by the written consent of the eligible producer who is being nominated as one of the Directors or Regional Representatives for region 1. The Director-at-Large will represent growers in regions 1 through 5; they must grow wheat in one of those regions and be a member of the AWC to be eligible. The initial term of office is for 3 years. Nominations need to be in writing and filed at the Commission’s head office by Wednesday, October 31, 2012. The nomination needs to be signed by at least 3 eligible producers and accompanied by the written consent of the eligible producer who is being nominated as the Director-at-Large. Elections for this position will take place at the AWC Annual General Meeting in Edmonton on Monday, January 28, 2013.
