Family Services Representative
Description: POSITION OBJECTIVE
Offer support in partnership with families in their quest to choose high quality child
care as well as move towards self-sufficiency at any ELCFV location as assigned daily
Duties: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
 Provide Family Services support at ELCFV locations as assigned
 Support parents in their role as their child’s first teacher, using a strengths-based
approach
 Achieve and maintain CCR&R Level 1 and Level 2 certification within the first year
of employment
 Provide resource and referral services as requested following the CCR&R
Requirements at all times
 Determine child care eligibility following state and local guidelines for School
Readiness and VPK
 Support families in completion of the child developmental screening process
 Manage customer case loads
 Provide parents and providers with necessary notifications regarding childcare
status
 Complete all necessary EFS data entry
 Return 396 calls
 Participate in ELCFV conducted trainings and activities, as assigned

Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
 High School diploma or GED
 Minimum of two years of related experience
PREFERRED:
 Associate’s degree from an accredited college/university
 Two years related experience
 Previous experience in a non-profit organization
SKILLS:
 Ability to maintain confidentiality with highly sensitive information
 Suitable experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and
Outlook
 Must have excellent interpersonal, communication (both verbal and written) and
organizational skills
 Strong customer service skills
 Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
 Ability to effectively prioritize tasks

Attends work related staff meetings and workshops as directed
Participates in ELCFV collaborative efforts as needed
Follows the ELCFV policy and procedure on reporting abuse and/or neglect
Promotes and follows safety policies in the workplace
Valid driver's license, appropriate insurance (or signed non-driver affidavit) and
reliable transportation
Must submit to pre employment screening including background check and drug
test and meet minimum requirement for employment
Must complete 15 hours of staff development annually
Other duties as assigned by ELCFV management
