Rec Sports Supervisor 8-12 hours/$10.65 per hour DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise Intramural activities on a nightly basis Become familiar with Intramural policies and ensure that policies are being followed by Intramural participants Supervise scorekeepers, officials, and Rec Club safety officers when applicable Organize and complete paperwork at the end of shift, including game sheets, participation numbers, and other relevant forms Monitor the events by maintaining a presence at several venues, including the Stott Center, Stott field, and the Student Academic Recreation Center. Act as a first responder when confronted with injuries or life threatening circumstances. Assist in the setup for Intramural Sports Assist with evaluation and assessment of Intramural student employees EXPECTATIONS Manage Intramural student employees & participants each night Report all pertinent information to the Intramural Sports Coordinator Follow protocol as it relates to reporting fights, injuries, and any situation that warrants the calling of Campus Public Safety Use critical thinking to make decisions and act accordingly regarding Intramural policy Serve as a positive and responsible ambassador for all of Campus Recreation Attend all weekly meetings TYPICAL WORKING HOURS Rec Sport Supervisors will primarily work in the evening from 5-11 p.m. Occasional weekend work will be required. WORKING CONDITIONS Office, Stott Center Field, Stott Center, Recreation Center, and other locations where Intramural activities are taking place Walking and communicating with other staff Staff shirt, closed toed shoes, and name tag required Occasionally required to work in inclement weather conditions (rain, wind, cold temps, etc…) MINIMUM QUALIFICAITONS Maintain minimum enrollment (6 credits for undergraduates, 5 credits for graduates) for three out of four terms in the year Minimum 2.0 grade point average for undergraduate and a 3.0 for graduate students Good academic standing maintained throughout employment Working knowledge of the Intramural sports offered Commitment to Campus Rec’s mission statement Positive attitude First Aid and CPR certified or be willing to obtain as soon as possible Must successfully complete a background check if new to the department www.campusrec.pdx.edu | 503.725.5127 | Campus Recreation-CREC PO Box 751 Portland OR 97207 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS At least one year of experience in IMs or Rec Clubs Experience working with diverse populations Strong interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated positive customer service TO APPLY 1.
