It’s an exciting time at Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County (HFHSC) and we’re welcoming spring
with unprecedented momentum. 2016 saw completion of the 5-unit Woodland Hills subdivision in
Cotati and now we have focused our attention on the next four years, during which we intend to
complete a total of 26 homes for low-income families in Windsor, Santa Rosa, Graton and Cotati.
Already our team of dedicated volunteers has begun work on the Windsor project, which will be
comprised of four homes.
Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County helps change the lives of hardworking families in our
community by helping them achieve the dream of home ownership. Habitat homeowners are working
people who have been priced out of the local housing market and who long to put down roots in the
community where they work. HFHSC partners with them to provide an affordable mortgage and
financial training while the homeowners contribute 500 hours of sweat equity to their home. In the
history of HFHSC there has never been a foreclosure on one of our homes.
HFHSC's upcoming event, the 18th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, will raise funds to support our
efforts, and we’re relying on community leaders for their support. The Golf Tournament will be held at
the beautiful Windsor Golf Club on Friday, June 30th, 2017. The event brings golfers, volunteers,
Habitat homeowners, friends and supporters together for a day of fun and fundraising on the golf
course. Our goal is to raise $50,000 to help provide decent, stable housing for hardworking local
families, and we need your help!
