Key job tasks:
1. Coordinate practices and coaching coverage to all of ARC’s junior level
programs.
2. Assist in developing coaching and training plans for all junior level teams.
3. Recruit and grow the number of junior rowers participating at ARC each year.
4. Help parent organization to maintain and improve fundraising, recruiting and race
support efforts.
5. Help to plan races and logistics of races for all ARC junior level teams.
6. Provide experiences for any individual who wants to row while also developing
athletes and teams that will provide a competitive experience to produce rowers
that will be able to compete on a national level.
7. Produce public relations development through community education, involvement
and support (develop press releases, brochures, newsletters) for the ARC junior
teams.
8. Provide guidance to athletes for training outside of practice times as desired and
assist athletes in the college recruitment/placement process.
9. Assist in maintenance and rigging of ARC and Juniors equipment.
10. Directly coach and manage the novice squad for the junior team.
11. Assist in managing payment collection for program and race fees and manage
paperwork collection for all junior teams.
12. Coach at least three days a week of masters practices.
13. Help plan masters turnouts and races.
Skills required:
1. Ability to use word processing and computer based data systems
2. Written and verbal communication skills
3. Experience in human relationships management and supervision
4. Excellent organization, writing and interpersonal skills.
5. Rowing and coaching experience
6. USRowing and/or other coaching certifications preferred
Job requirements:
1. Ability to work flexible hours and some weekend days and nights.
2. Maintain ARC required clearances.
Accountability:
Reports directly to the Executive Director as supervisor.
Compensation and Benefits
This position will receive $1,000 per month with no extra benefits.

Coaching Development – Employee will be encouraged to continue his/her own
development as a coach and attend conferences or other opportunities to further
themselves as a coach.
Management/Coaching of other ARC programs is allowed to be added to the position if it
is agreed upon by both individual and ED. Payment for these duties will be agreed upon
separately between the individual and ED (if the payments are processed through ARC).
