Rip ‘em and sck ‘em in a bag!
The Owen PTA Resale is right around the corner on Saturday, March 2nd in the
Owen gym. Come shop and support our PTA! The semi-annual Resales raise most
of the funds we use throughout the year to support all of our fun programs and
educaonal acvies. The Resale commi%ee is looking for more Owen volunteers
to serve on the commi%ee for future Resales. If you are interested, please contact
Marylee Leu at [email protected].
It is elecon me for our PTA. The Nominang Commi%ee has been hard at work
selecng a slate of officers for next school year. The slate will be submi%ed to the
general membership at the next meeng on March 19th at 7:00 pm in the LMC.
Elecons will take place on April 22nd at 7:00 pm in the LMC. Everyone is welcome and current members may vote!

It’s creave wring me in the Publishing Center! K-2 Publishing Center is an
Owen PTA program for students in kindergarten through 2nd grade that brings
volunteers into school to assist our students write and create their own hard
cover book.
Kinder Press, our program for kindergarten students, will begin in January. Parent volunteers will be needed both in the classroom and at home to put the
books together.
First Edion (1st grade) and Going 2 Press (2nd grade) is starng now!. Watch
your email for volunteer requests in the coming months. For quesons contact

Young Rembrandts art program is coming to Owen.
This after-school program will be a 10 week session starting February
26, 2013. Cost of the session is $95 student. It will be Tuesdays from
3:35-4:35, 2/26-5/14. Young Rembrandts trained instructors provide

What is PTA? The Owen Parent Teacher Associaon’s mission is
to advocate for our children. We are a group of parents, teachers and administrators that work together to give Owen students the best possible elementary school experience.
PLEASE!
We accomplish this by providing educaonal and social programs to our students and families. We are volunteer driven.
Each of our programs is made possible through the donaon of
me and talents of Owen parents and teachers. Click on our

We hope you will join us as a member. PTA membership gives
you a vote at PTA meengs where we discuss current programs
at Owen and around the District. We invite new ideas and want
