ZyMobile Operator – a strategic choice for Toyota Danmark
Toyota Danmark has chosen ZyMobile Operator as a strategic product enabling the company to benefit from having introduced the
iPhone as a company phone.
Toyota Danmark is a company that uses technology to achieve flexibility and business benefits. For that reason Toyota
Danmark implemented iPhone4 as company phone in July
2011.
- We made a corporate decision to replace all fixed line
phones and instead use iPhone4 as the company phone
for every-one, says Peter Nyborg Madsen, IT coordinator,
responsible for Toyota Danmark phone solutions.
Toyota Danmark wanted to provide all the functionality that
employees knew from fixed line, to their mobile phones.
To meet this request Toyota Danmark late summer 2012 made
an agreement with Zylinc to be test-company on the Zylinc
product ZyMobile Operator, which gathers a lot of company
information and ”pushes” it out to all cell phones.
Besides functions as an updated directory ZyMobile Operator
includes calendars, business cards and information on availability for all employees.
Toyota Danmark, together with Toyota Financial Services
and Toyota Nordic has its headquarters in Herlev and counts
about 100 employees. However, only the IT department is
testing ZyMobile Operator.
Half price calling abroad
- All the basic functionality is good. But we had requests for
additional functionality. And luckily Zylinc were interested
in our input, so Toyota Danmark became test-company on
ZyMobile Operator.
In this capacity we can influence the product to fit our needs,
says Peter Nyborg Madsen.
Among the functions that Toyota Danmark has delivered input to is forwarding calls and conference calls.
- Further we have asked to have call center features on our
iPhones in order to enable our technicians to take call center
calls, even if they are on the road.
Also Toyota Danmark has suggested automatic callback
when roaming.
- In this way the phone automatically detects that it is roaming, because it is abroad and then – hidden to the user – it
makes callback, letting Toyota Danmark and later on other
customers make call abroad for half the price, says Peder
Nyborg Madsen.
- Further we hope that ZyMobile Operator will be able to differ between numbers on our iPhones, letting us call from one
number i business hours and from our own cell number in our
spare time.
Close and trusting co-operation
The dialogue between Toyota Danmark and Zylinc is close
and trusting.
- Transparency and confidence provide the best product,
says Peter Nyborg Madsen, who explains that the cooperation is so close that he himself is created as a developer at
Zylinc, like Zylinc is created as a user in Toyota Danmark.
- Besides we at Toyota Danmark continuously reflect on
future functionality, we also have the Zylinc development roadmap, giving us an overview of which features Zylinc expect
to release and when. Having this information we are able to
time our input and feedback to Zylinc right.
The test period will run approx. six months, and Peter
Nyborg Madsen expects to roll out a final version of ZyMobile
Operator by the end of 2012.
Migrating from Notes to Exchange is not a problem
In addition to a general confidence in Zylinc as a strategic
partner Peter Nyborg Madsen has great respect for Zylinc’s
professionalism.
- Notes is our current e-mail and calendar system.This often
get software suppliers as well as others to give up in advance.
But Zylinc have some very talented Notes people.
- We expect to migrate to Microsoft Exchange during 2013,
though. But because Zylinc are skilled within interfaces and
integration, this is quite straightforward.
- Zylinc integrates to a large amount of products and platforms, says Peter Nyborg Madsen.
Switch and call center solution also from Zylinc
ZyMobile Operator is the newest of Zylinc products at Toyota
Danmark.
Toyota Danmark is already using Zylinc products; ZyCall
Switch and ZyCall Contact Center in its reception and call
centers.
