Spring 2013 Paleo Challenge at CFR When: contest will run from 4/27/13 (Sat) to 5/24/13 (Fri) Teams: the players have been placed onto one of 4 teams. Each team will have a CFR coach as the captain. Each individual’s score will be calculated and then added together to determine the score for the team. The team with the best score will win all the money to send to their charity of choice. Charity Selection: Captain will organize all charity nominees for the team and then a vote will determine the team’s choice Cost: each individual will contribute $40 to participate in the contest. All money collected (net of expenses) will go to the winning team Individual Award: the individual with the best score will be declared the champion and they will receive a free month of CFR membership. How the game is played (scoring): Eating Paleo: o You earn 3 points each day for eating “Perfect Paleo” o If you are “perfect paleo” you can earn 1 point for 5g of fish oil o If you are “perfect paleo” you can earn 1 point for water consumption (half your body weight in ounces) Workouts: o Earn 2 points for doing a CrossFit WOD (at CFR or another CF) o Max number of WOD’s a week is 5 (which will include travel WOD’s. o We will have a standardized selection of Travel WOD’s that you can choose from (they will be difficult). However, you can only do 4 travel WOD’s during the competition at full credit (2 points). You can do 2 more travel WOD’s if necessary but you will only earn 1 point for your 5th and 6th travel WOD’s. Blogging: you can earn 1 point each day for blogging on our site. You can earn 7 points in a week from blogging. Results (before and after): o Body Fat: if % improvement is in top quartile get 15 points; 10 points for 2nd quartile; 5 points for third quartile; 0 points for bottom quartile) o Workout: if % improvement is in top quartile get 15 points; 10 points for 2nd quartile; 5 points for third quartile; 0 points for bottom quartile) o Theme Days: there will be 2 theme days during the month. Participation will earn you 5 points and winning an award will earn you 10 points Reporting: All scoring is submitted to your coach on a weekly basis Please use the standardized scoring worksheet. All reports are to be submitted no later than midnight on Sunday From a scoring standpoint the week runs from Saturday to Friday Wrap Up: Final WOD and Body Fat Test: will be on either 5/23 or 5/24.
