British Eventing 2017 Arena Eventing Qualifiers Information Competition Arena Eventing is a two phase competition, run at BE80, BE90 and BE100 level where riders can qualify for the BE Arena Eventing Championships to be held at Washbrook Farm, Aston-le-Walls, Daventry, Northamptonshire, NN11 6RT on Saturday 11th March 2017. Competitors will jump a course of show jumps immediately followed by cross country fences, and will finish with the last fence as a show jump, the joker fence. The joker fence will be approximately 10cm higher than the rest of the course, if you knock the Joker fence down you will incur 6 penalties. The optimum time will be based on a speed of 375m per minute as agreed with the course designer depending upon the size and terrain of the arena. Classes They will run at BE80, BE90 & BE100 level . The classes are open to all, members and non-members alike. Entry fee: £32 for BE members. Entry fee: £37 for non BE members. Both horses and competitors must meet the minimum eligibility requirements for BE membership and horse registration. Competitors must be at least in the year of their 12th birthday. Horses must be at least 137cms in height to compete in 80cm and at least 142 cm in height to compete in 90cm and 100cm classes. There will be no more than 20 jumping efforts in total. British Eventing compliant XC kit must be worn. Stop watches are not permitted The winner will be the competitor with the lowest number of penalties. The optimum time is calculated based on a speed of 375m per minute. *Time allowed is twice the optimum time. There will be one section run at each height. There will be no substitutions for the Championships. The Judge’s decision is final. The top 15% from each class plus the top 3 from JAS Final, BE90 and BE100, are eligible to compete at the finals. There will be no more than 25 jumping efforts in total. The course will finish with the last fence as a show jump, the joker fence, which will be approximately 10cm higher than the rest of the course. British Eventing compliant XC kit must be worn. There will be a drawn order and approximate start times will be given in advance of the day although the course will only be open for walking before the class starts. British Eventing reserves the right to increase the number of those eligible to enter the Championship(s) and/or in exceptional circumstances offer a limited number of wild card entries. Only horse and rider combinations qualified can only enter the Championships and no substitutions will be permitted under any circumstances. *Time allowed is twice the optimum time.
