This element examines the balancing of competing
demands, the vital importance of meeting deadlines,
the requirement for time recording and fee charging
and the different types of fee arrangements which are
currently available.
Negotiation
Identification of negotiation functions in legal practice,
observation and analysis of a specific negotiation
carried out by seasoned professionals, practice in
negotiating techniques.

The Royal Faculty of Procurators at Glasgow (RFPG) and the Scottish Law Agents Society
(SLAS) provide a TCPD (PEAT2) programme that meets all of the requirements of the Law
Society.

·Substantive and relevant legal knowledge
Spaced over six months, followed by a 6 month email/telephone advice service the course
helps trainees to develop essential skills including analysis, argument, communication and
pleading, while providing an invaluable opportunity for trainees from different parts of the
country and from different areas of practice to meet and network.
COURSE FEE - £900 (including all materials) to meet all Law Society TCPD
requirements

£90 per session for 6 hours TCPD – which may be upgraded to full TCPD status
