How to Calibrate the Shock Sensor Utility
If you get a message in the notification area saying: “Impact is detected. The HDD head has been temporarily retracted.” (The
notification area is in the far right side of the taskbar).
When you move your
pointer to a particular
icon, you will see that
icon's name.
Find the icon that says
Shock Sensor Utility.
Double click on the
Shock Sensor Utility
icon to open.
First, click on the arrow on the taskbar (long horizontal bar at the bottom of your screen).
Click on the red button on the right of the Fujitsu calibration icon to open the shock utility settings.
Click on the red button on the right of the Fujitsu calibration icon to open the shock utility settings.
Click Calibrate Now…
Next step is to make sure your computer is sitting on a level surface and horizontal. Click OK.
Click Ok after calibration is done.
Click on Ok to close the settings window.
Click on the blue arrow button on the bottom of the Fujitsu calibration icon to close.
