Display Team Member Role Description Job Purpose You are expected to deliver excellent customer service and conduct displays and demonstrations with enthusiasm, alacrity and confidence in this public-facing role. You will ensure that the cleanliness, condition and wellbeing of both the display area and livestock are maintained at a consistently high standard throughout our open season. Managed by the Display Manager, you will be expected to provide visitors with a fun and educational day out through practical demonstrations, informative discussion, hands-on experience and their safe use of our site and play equipment. Report to Your line manager is The Display Manager. You will report to the Display Manager or Deputy Display Manager in their absence. The Display Manager will provide instruction on routine tasks and the delivery of displays, demonstrations and school offers. Any issues should be communicated directly back to the Display Manager or Deputy Display Manager. Daily Areas of Responsibility: 1. Demonstrations and Activities: To deliver a range of entertaining and educational demonstrations. To assist the Display Manager with the development of new activities, displays and demonstrations. To ensure all presentations start on time and are delivered to a consistently high standard. To educate the public about the importance of hand-washing and hygiene. To ensure that presentations are delivered to the requirements of the audience. To ensure high levels of customer satisfaction at all times. 2. Site and Facilities Alongside our maintenance department, to help ensure that the site is clean, presentable and safe for the public at all times. To ensure that all regular tasks are completed to the prescribed routine and standard. Following instruction from the Display Manager and Site Foreman, to ensure that the site and all play equipment is safety checked in accordance with schedule by 10am. All toys and ride on equipment to be lined up ready for use. In poor weather, to be stored appropriately under cover. To ensure that all staff and non-public accessible areas are clean and presentable at all times, with attention to specific cross-contamination procedures. 3. Animal Care & Responsibilities Prepare touch and demo barn animals for display, clean out all pens and refresh water and feeding bowls as necessary. Report any ailing animals to Display Manager or Display Livestock Manager. Prepare milk for bottle feeding, ensuring bottles are cleaned and disinfected after use. Assist the Display Livestock Manager with additional livestock duties only as directed. Feed animals on display in accordance with directions from the Livestock Manager. Keep all animal feed, medicine and storage areas in a clean, tidy and vermin-free condition. If any animals scratch or bite, to report them to the Display Manager or Display Livestock Manager Ensure your work clothes and footwear are kept clean, presentable and satisfy our crosscontamination policies.
