We are going to a baseball game for the Lake County Captains, a baseball team that plays at Classic Park.
Lots of people will be there watching the baseball game. We will drive to get to the baseball stadium
and when we get there, we will park and walk into the stadium.
My family will help me find my seat.
Then I can watch the baseball game. Baseball games are fun to watch. During a baseball game, one
team will throw the baseball and the other team will try to hit the baseball and score a run by getting
around the bases.
I can clap and cheer when a team makes a good play. The teams will take turns throwing and hitting
until the game is over. The team that gets around the bases the most is the team that wins the game.
The scoreboard is like a big TV that tells you whose turn it is and who is winning the game. The umpires
make sure that the baseball players follow the rules and have a fair game.
I can choose many different kinds of food to eat. Sometimes you can go to the concession stand to get
your food and sometimes food vendors will bring your food to you when you are sitting in your seat.
When I feel hungry, I can tell Mom or Dad. They might get me something to eat. They might ask me to
wait.
There are also other activities to do at a baseball game. At the Lake County Captains baseball game,
there will be some other activities I can do, such as art and craft activities and a scavenger hunt. My
family can help me decide which activities I should do.
The game usually lasts nine innings. If it starts to rain, the game might be postponed or cancelled. This
means the game may be continued at another time. Mom and Dad will know if the game will be
finishing. It is okay to leave the baseball park before the game is finished.
My parents will tell me when it is time to leave and we will get in the car and go home.
I really enjoy going to baseball games with my family. It is so much fun!
