If within thirty days of enacting a new operating rule the Board of Directors receives a petition, from members owning 5% or more of the separate interests, requesting a membership vote on the new rule, the Board of Directors shall either call a special meeting of the membership or distribute a written ballot for the purpose of voting on a new rule. The new rule shall be repealed if repeal is approved by a majority of the members voting, provided that at least a quorum of the members has cast a vote. (This is being published for 30-day member comment period prior to possible adoption at following Open Board meeting) Purpose and Intent: To amend the existing rules pertaining to the Bahama/Antigua Clubhouse to establish an ending time for private events and to require Village Director approval of Clubhouse reservations for Bahama/Antigua Village residents who wish to reserve the Clubhouse for more than five private events in a calendar year. Please direct any resident comments concerning this proposed Rule Change for Board consideration to: Michael Bennett – General Manager – Email: [email protected] **************** CORONADO CAYS HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION PROPOSED RESOLUTION 17-03 Rules Changes concerning the Bahama/Antigua Clubhouse Whereas, the Board of Directors of the Coronado Cays Homeowners Association (“Association”) is charged with the responsibility for the management and control of the affairs of the Coronado Cays development, including the condominium neighborhoods known as “Bahama Village” and “Antigua Village”; and Whereas, the Board of Directors desires to amend the existing rules pertaining to the Bahama/Antigua Clubhouse to establish an ending time for private events and to require Village Director approval of Clubhouse reservations for Bahama/Antigua Village residents who wish to reserve the Clubhouse for more than five private events in a calendar year.; and Now therefore, be it resolved that the following rules amendments are adopted: (Proposed Amendment effective July 13, 2017 if adopted by the Board of Directors in Open session on June 22, 2017, are indicated by BOLD, Italic, Underlined Text). APPROVED AMENDMENTS WILL BE ADDED TO: Coronado Cays Member Handbook (2010 Version) 17‐03 PROPOSED BV‐AV Clubhouse Rules Changes v2.docx 2.2.5.1 Clubhouse Use – The office staff will provide you with the applicable facility use agreement which lists specific requirements for use of the Clubhouse including: fees, hours of operation and party requirements. (Amendment to Existing) 2.2.5.1.1 All events the Bahama/Antigua Clubhouse shall end at 10 p.m. every day of the week (New). 2.2.5.1.2 Any Bahama/Antigua resident may reserve the Bahama/Antigua Clubhouse for a private event up to five (5) times in one calendar year without Village Director approval. Additional reservations must be approved by the resident’s Village Director, who may decline to approve the private event in order to ensure that there are sufficient available dates, especially on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, for all Bahama and Antigua residents who may wish to reserve the Clubhouse. (New) Be it further resolved that notice of the above rule change shall be given pursuant to Civil Code section 4360, subsection (c); and Be it further resolved that the above rule shall be included in the next publication of the Member Handbook and numbered as shown above therein.
