Church Family: We continue to remember Bill T and his family as they mourn
the passing of Jenny. Pray for comfort and strength for the family. We pray for
patience and healing for Peter B as he had knee replacement surgery Tuesday. We
pray for Teus and Lita and Jordan as they are thankful that he is able to have his
trach removed but they found out that the healing process will be more challenging
then they anticipated so we pray for patience and that the Jordan will heal quickly.
Brad V has been seeing doctors for pain in his leg but unfortunately there is
nothing they can do at this time so we pray for healing and freedom from his pain.
We remember Silia V’s brother Jan in the Netherlands who was recently diagnosed
with cancer. She will be leaving to visit there June 26. We rejoice that Abe and
Shelby were planning to be married in our church Saturday. We pray for a blessing
on their marriage. We are thankful that Pastor Al and Sharon D arrived safely we
pray that they may feel welcome here and that they may enjoy the time they spend
ministering here.

From the Deacons- Offerings for June:
 June 18--Aboriginal Ministries: The Aboriginal Ministry is made up of a
national committee (Canadian Aboriginal Ministry Committee), three Urban
Aboriginal Ministries, and a Justice and Reconciliation Mobilizer, each using
their strengths to support healing and reconciliation between Aboriginal peoples
and non-Aboriginal people in Canada. It is rooted in a recognition of our
Creator’s love for all creation and in the understanding that we all have gifts to
offer one another.
 June 25—SABC: “Southern Alberta Bible Camp is a youth-focused Christian
camp whose purpose is to challenge, encourage and inspire campers spiritually
and physically to help equip them for life and to develop Christian leadership in
young adults.”
Iron Springs Announcements :
 We as council, and congregation, welcome the arrival of Pastor (Al), Albert
D and his wife Sharon. They arrived this past week from Grand Rapids area.
They are both 70 plus years young! Pastor Al has been involved in interim
ministries before, serving in 10 different church communities. He was also
pastor in the Nobleford CRC congregation during the late 1980's. We pray for
their time in our congregation over the next few months, and also for God's
blessing as we get to know and share in ministry with them over the summer.
 Bridal Shower: There will be an informal bridal shower for Jocelyn on
Tuesday, June 27th at 8:00 pm. This will be held at the D’s and all ladies are
invited. If you plan on attending and you have some time - could you please
write out (or print out) your favorite recipe and stick your name on it. A girl can
never have to many recipes and Joc is a pretty good cook!!!
 Vacation Bible School (VBS)- July 3-July 7: Imagine a world where curious
kids become hands-on inventors who discover they're lovingly crafted by God.
Join us for Maker Fun Factory Vacation Bible School! This year’s VBS will
take place from July 3-July 7th, 9am-12 noon at the Cornerstone Community Efree Church. Register your kids today or sign up to volunteer

 From Council: The council of Iron Springs is grateful to have a list of office
bearers to present to the congregation to fill the vacancies that will happen
when Bertha T, Hieke V and Leighton K, Mike Van R and Paulette D’s
terms end. We are pleased to present the following names to the congregation.
For elder: Helen B, Delbert V and Alina S. For deacon Jan P and Stephen B.
If there is no formal objection to any of these names brought forward, in the
next two weeks council will proceed with plans for installation of the new
office bearers later this summer.
 Cookie Baking: It's time to start baking for the VBS kids again. We are just
one month away from our program start and really appreciate all the cookies
that are baked or donated. Our kids consume about 10 dozen a day so please let
Paulette know if you can contribute again this year. Thank
 Iron Springs Directory: Directory update: If you have not updated the
directory please do so today. Talk to Tony about an updated picture or send
one in! We would like to print this week... If your adult child is in the book
please update their contact info if they are not here.
Please check the directory today!!

Bible Basics: Thank you to Gerty for her many years of teaching the Grade
5/6 Bible Basics Class over at Huntsville School. We do need a replacement
starting in October until March. If you are willing to help with the program,
please contact Randy or Jason V @ Evangelism Committee. Thank you.
 June 12, 2017 Consistory Meeting Minutes: Art called the meeting to order
and welcomed all present. Rod led in devotions. Minutes of the April Meeting
were approved. Agenda was reviewed and accepted with some additions
Pastor Devries is arriving on the 15th of June. Some members of the
Congregation will meet with him and his wife to show them around the
community. Discussed who will look after the church family portion of the
bulletin while Pastor Frank is away. Decided that the serving elder will take
on the church family portion of the bulletin as well as the congregational
prayer until the next council meeting. Landen commented on Faith Formation
held in Lethbridge. A sense of church community was the main focus.
Discussed “Church in the Park”. The Mennonite church of Picture Butte is
going to lead the service. The Pastor and Elders reported on their visits made
this past month. Next meeting is set for July 10, 2017. Leighton closed in
prayer.

Pray for Inspire 2017 - Inspire 2017 is a conference to connect people from
across the 1000+ churches in the Christian Reformed Church for three days of
worship, workshops, speakers, and conversation. As we plan and prepare for
this event, happening August 3-5 in Detroit, Mich., please join us in praying for
the event and all who will attend. This week, please pray for breakout speakers
in sessions about family, marriage, parenting, and doing life together in
community. Pray for them as they make decisions about topics and as they
prepare messages. Pray that God will guide them as they present and discuss,
and that people will be blessed by their words and ideas.
