Dear Parents,
Recently, the Puckapunyal Primary School applied for a Term 3 Sporting Schools Grant from the Federal
Government. We were successful and will soon receive a $2,000 grant.
That means, in Term 3 the Puckapunyal Primary School is offering an opportunity for students to participate in
some Before School Sport.
To apply for the grant we had to choose a sport to be the theme of the sessions – for Term 3 the sport is Bat
Tennis/Tennis.
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays
Time: 7:30 am - 8:45 am
Where: Puckapunyal Primary School Grounds (meet at the back of the school at bat tennis areas on the asphalt
areas)
Who can attend: any Puckapunyal Primary School student (Foundation to Year 6)
Sport: Bat Tennis/Tennis
Beginning date: Tuesday 19th July, 2016
Any student from Foundation to Year 6 can participate. There is no cost. Class teacher, Damien Humphrey and
Principal, Kevin Warne will be the teachers who will be there to meet the students, supervise them and give them
an opportunity to practice their tennis skills or even learn tennis as a new sport. Other teachers and staff may be
involved as the term progresses.
Please see the timetable on page 2. To participate in any of the sessions, we must have a return slip before the
date of the intended session. Families can pick and choose optimal dates. Return slips will be available at the
front of the school office and on our school website. Please do not hesitate to contact the school for any more
information.
