USDA Guaranteed Underwriting System (GUS) Available to Brokers/Correspondents
Stockton Mortgage Funding is pleased to announce that USDA recently enhanced GUS by allowing “Lender Agent”
functionality. This allows us to give access to our broker/correspondent customers to submit potential USDA
applications through GUS to assist with initial prequalification and eligibility determinations.
Setting up GUS Access:
Gaining access to GUS is a Two-Step process:
STEP 1: First, each of your employees that will access GUS, must create an individual USDA eAuth ID themselves, if
they do not already have one. In order to complete this process, each user should complete the following steps:





Click the following link: https://identitymanager.eems.usda.gov/registration/index.aspx.
Select “Register for Level 1 Account”
Complete the required information and click “Continue”.
Ensure the information is accurate on the next page. If not, click “Edit” and correct. Be sure to also
print a copy for your records prior to clicking “Submit”.
You should receive an email confirmation at the email address registered that contains an activation
link. You MUST receive this email, open it and click the activation link to complete this part of the
process.
STEP 2: Next, after your employees have completed the eAuth ID activation through USDA, an authorized
individual at the company must complete, sign and submit the Stockton Mortgage Funding GUS Registration Form
to us via email to [email protected]. Once this is received, we will complete the
registration on our end to access GUS for Stockton Mortgage Funding and notify the requester via email when
complete.
Accessing/Submitting USDA loans through GUS:
Once complete, you will be able to access GUS online at: https://www.eauth.usda.gov/Login/login.aspx. Your user
ID and password will be the one that you created during the eAuth registration process in Step 1 above.

This includes both a pre-recorded video presentation of GUS usage as well as a GUS user manual.
PASSWORD RESETS can be obtained automatically at the login page by clicking the “forgot password”
link.
All other IT/password support issues related to GUS usage/registration issues should be directed to USDA
GUS support team at: [email protected] or 1-800-457-3642 (Option 1).
NOTE: We recommend caution resubmitting loan scenarios to GUS too often. In our experience, excessive
submissions can result in full file reviews by USDA (potentially slowing down their review to issue a
commitment) and/or REFER findings.
