2015 Ocean Lakes Leadership Workshop Delegate Application [PLEASE KEEP THIS PAGE FOR YOUR OWN INFORMATION] APPLICATIONS MUST BE RETURNED TO THE STUDENT ACTIVITIES OFFICE (ROOM 161) BY 2:30pm on Friday, February 6, 2015. Who is eligible? ---- Any student in grade 9, 10, or 11 who would like to enhance his/her leadership ability and who is interested in a weekend of fun should apply. Approximately 100 students will be selected. What happens during Leadership Workshop? ---- Workshop is two nights and three days of spirit with handson activities and practical leadership experiences. Delegates will meet new people and form close ties with fellow Dolphins. When they return from Workshop, delegates should be prepared to lead effectively at Ocean Lakes High School and in their community. When and where is Workshop? ---- Workshop will be held at Triple R Ranch, a retreat center located in Chesapeake, from Friday, March 20th through Sunday, March 22nd (one “B” day of classes will be missed). On Friday morning, we will meet at Ocean Lakes, and we will return on Sunday afternoon by 1:00pm and be ready for parent pickup at 2:00pm. Transportation to and from Triple R Ranch will be provided by VBCPS school buses. Delegates will be responsible for providing transportation to and from Ocean Lakes High School. What is the cost? ---- Upon selection, delegates will be asked to pay a fee of $60 to attend Workshop. This money will cover room and board, supplies, meals, a t-shirt, and a handbook. Students who anticipate having difficulty paying the $60 should see Ms. Conaway or Mrs. Pohl in the Social Studies office for scholarship information. How can I apply? ---- If you would like to attend, please complete the attached application and return it to the Student Activities Office (Room 161) by 2:30pm on Friday, February 6th, 2015. The list of selected delegates will be posted on Monday, February 23rd, 2015 outside of the Student Activities Office (Room 161).
