PEER GYNT and HIDDEN PROMISE (R Shafiq) bumped on jumping, with PEER GYNT then making contact with NEO'S CLASSIC (App Y Salim). This resulted in NEO'S CLASSIC becoming unbalanced and shifting outwards, with BLACK SWAN (A Munro) having to be eased. EASY DRAGON (D Beasley) laid outwards shortly after the start making contact with PRECIOUS GEM (G Schofield). Approaching the 1500m, CHARLIES MISSILE (M Kellady), which was racing keenly, eased when tightened between EASY DRAGON, which rolled outwards and HIDDEN PROMISE, which shifted inwards. Shortly after, CHARLIES MISSILE dipped. NEO'S CLASSIC raced keenly in the backstraight. PEER GYNT raced wide from the 800m. GROUND CONTROL (G Boss) and NEO'S CLASSIC both laid inwards in the early part of the straight. A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on ZAC ACE (N Juglall) which revealed that the horse returned having bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeder’s test. A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on EASY DRAGON which revealed no apparent abnormality. 1 RACE 2 [TF0719] STEPITUP 2015 STAKES MAIDEN 1400M AURORA AUSTRALIS (G Schofield), which was slow to begin, had to be eased when HOLY THOMAS (I Saifudin) jumped awkwardly inwards. MILITARY MIGHT (M Nunes), which began awkwardly, made contact with HIGH STREET (G Boss). Making the turn into the straight, HOLY THOMAS had to be eased when awkwardly placed on the heels of JANGO (M Zaki). Passing the 200m ALARANCH eased off the heels of MILITARY MIGHT, which hung inwards abruptly. An Objection was lodged by Jockey J Powell, the rider of second placegetter, WINTERFELL, against LIM'S SPARKLE, being declared the winner, on the grounds of interference over the final 100m. After deliberation and considering all of the evidence, the Panel of Stewards were of the opinion that near the 50m, LIM'S SPARKLE shifted outwards, thereby making contact with WINTERFELL and carrying that gelding wider on the track. Taking into account the alleged interference and the manner in which both horses finished off the race, the Panel of Stewards were of the opinion that the alleged interference had affected the result of the race. As such, the Objection was upheld and the result was amended to read: 1ST 2ND 3RD 4TH 5TH 6TH - WINTERFELL LIM'S SPARKLE GREAT SEVEN DREAMER LEGEND MILITARY MIGHT ALARANCH The Farrier reported that JANGO returned having cast its off-fore plate.
