This year’s event will be on April 5, 2014 from 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm at the New Braunfels Civic Center. This is the largest fundraiser for Communities In Schools of South Central Texas, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization which partners with local school districts, businesses and community organizations to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. This will be the 12th year of Rock ‘n Roll for Kids and the 12th year Schlitterbahn is the presenting sponsor. “Our long-standing partnership with Schlitterbahn began with our first Rock ‘n Roll for Kids event in 2003.” said Chris Douglas, executive director of Communities In Schools of South Central Texas. “Without their deep commitment to our Communities In Schools organization, this fundraising event would never have gotten off the ground! It has become a signature affair for the community that has enabled us to provide life-changing services to thousands of young people in our community.
