Ernest Henry Mining Community Assistance Program Guidelines Globally, Glencore contributes funding for vital Corporate Social Involvement (CSI) initiatives. The Ernest Henry Mining Community Assistance Program is one of our CSI initiatives in Australia, and reflects our belief that communities should benefit from our operations. Key areas of support church or religious activities which are exclusive to one faith community Community investment activities target the following group-wide focus areas, as well as needs identified on a local or regional level: Capacity building, including: requests to sponsor events such as conferences or speakers at conferences or symposia organisations producing, distributing or seeking advertising in audio-visual media, including print or electronic media requests to fund touring sporting teams. o education/ training, o enterprise development, and o economic diversification. Health Environment Eligibility To receive funding through the Ernest Henry Mining Community Assistance Program applicants must provide services or manage sustainable community initiatives that contribute to the well-being and development of our local community. Our program funds sponsorships between Ernest Henry Mining and community organisations or government agencies across three key support categories. Applications must address the criteria listed in the application form on the next page of this document. What we do not support In line with our CSI policy guidelines, the Ernest Henry Mining Community Assistance Program will not support: applications from individuals, including those seeking support for activities such as academic studies, competing in a sporting event, travel or third party fundraising political parties, political organisations, politicians or candidates for public office Reporting and evaluation For major sponsorships ($10,000 and over), a formal contract is entered into which requires the sponsored entity to set specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and sponsor benefits for their initiative in agreement with Ernest Henry Mining Community Relations. A comprehensive report detailing the outcomes achieved through the sponsorship and demonstrating how the sponsored entity has met all commitments set out in the contract must be completed and submitted to Ernest Henry Mining Community Relations within three weeks of completion of the sponsored initiative. For sponsorships up to $10,000, a sponsorship agreement is established requiring the sponsored entity to set specific KPIs and sponsor benefits for their initiative in agreement with Ernest Henry Mining Community Relations. A report template will be provided, in which the sponsored entity must detail the outcomes achieved through the sponsorship and demonstrate how they have met all commitments set out in the sponsorship agreement. This report must be completed and submitted to Ernest Henry Mining Community Relations within three weeks of completion of the sponsored initiative. Procedure for processing applications Applications will be assessed by Ernest Henry Mining’s Community Relations team. We may seek more information and choose to meet with you to discuss sponsorship proposals in more detail. We may also consult with the local community to help evaluate the suitability of proposed sponsorship.
