Growing Talk is a programme of interactive activities using songs, rhymes, puppets and props designed to 'Grow Talk' and help all children to become confident communicators. Movers & Shakers: every Monday 10.00am-11.00am for 18mths-5year olds at Bardney Village Hall. Have fun with sounds and movement! Booking is required, please contact Alison on 01522 595980. Peep Groups: every Tuesday 9.30am-10.30am for babies 0-18mths and 11.00am -12.00pm for toddlers 18mths-3yrs. songs and rhymes, sharing books and stories, and activities. A lovely session for you to enjoy together! Tuesday 2nd November we will be creating bonfire pictures and a wintery theme is planned for the other sessions in November. Home start: Drop in runs on Wednesday’s 9.00am-11.30am and Friday 1.00pm-3.00pm weekly. Various activities will be taking place at each session. All 0-5 year olds are welcome. A chance to meet new parents within your area while your children have a play. No booking required. During w/c 15th November there will be Children in Need activities to get ready for the big day on the 19th. Wear something spotty if you can and join in! Citizen Advice Bureau: Run an advice session every 1st and 3rd Wednesday (3rd and 17th November) 9.30am-11.30am booking is preferred and our advisor Debbie Bratby can give advice and information on benefits, debt, housing issues, consumer issues, family matters and help with supporting letters. Baby Weigh and Stay: every Wednesday 2.00pm-4.00pm come along and have your baby weighed and a chat with your local Health Visitor Janet Holland. This is a drop in session, no appointment is necessary. Creative Play: every Thursday 1.00pm-3.00pm parents/carers bring your children (under 5 years) along for a range of messy play activities including sticking, cutting, gluing, and painting, mud, cornflour, jelly, and gloop! Old clothes essential and lots of fun to be had! Childminders Group: will be running every Thursday 9.15am-11.30am weekly term time only. No booking is required and all childminders are welcome. On 18th November the group will be joining in with Children in Need Pudsey fun, making masks and colouring. First Time Parents Group is a monthly group on Friday 12th November 10.00-11.00am come along and meet other parents and share your experiences. Men Behaving Dadly – on Saturday 13th November 9.30-11.30am this is a group for all Dads, Grandads and carers to enjoy a bacon butty with toast and fruit for the children, come to meet other Dads while your children play and have fun! We now have two public access computers available for you to use – please ask at reception for further details. Other Children’s Centre Services: We offer free lending of health and safety equipment: stair gates, fireguards these will be fitted by a trained member of staff and give you any safety advice you require. Women’s Aid: If you or your child needs someone to talk to about bullying at home give them a call. This is free and confidential service.
