AYSO 2017 Area 8E Spring Tournament
Tournament Invitation
Hello, Coaches! AYSO Region 298 is proud to invite your team to the 2017 AYSO Area 8E Spring Tournament.
Scope:
AYSO Area 8E spring Tournament is open to AYSO teams from Area 8E.
When:
Friday, June 9th thru Sunday, June 11th.
Where:
The tournament will be held at the 28776 Yaw St, Silver Creek, Dowagiac Michigan 49047. No pets are
allowed during tournament. No parking on any grass. Tents in designated areas ONLY.
Who:
AYSO boys, girls and co-ed teams in age divisions: U-16/U19 (11v11) 18 player’s max. U-14 (11v11) 15
player’s max. U-12 (9v9) 12 player’s max. And U-10 (7v7) 10 players max. All players must be
registered to play in the AYSO 2016/17 primary season. Co-ed teams will be accepted in boys’ divisions
only.
What:
Pool play tournament. Each team will be guaranteed 3 games in pool play. All pool play games will be
shortened. The medal round will be played with regulation time.
Why:
The Area 8E Spring Tournament is a Sportsmanship Tournament hosted by Region 298 to bring teams
together from across the area.
Awards:
All players on the 1st and 2nd place teams will receive a trophy or medal. The highest and most
prestigious award being for Sportsmanship for each age division.
Entry Fee,
Refunds:
$100 fee per team. A full refund will be issued if tournament is canceled and cannot be rescheduled. If a
team withdraws 7 or more days before the tournament, a full refund is given. Within 7 days of the
tournament, no refund is provided unless a replacement team is found. Registration fees must be
paid with a region check.
Referee Fee,
Refunds:
A $50 referee deposit is required and is in addition to entry fees. It is refundable within 30 days of the
tournament, if referee assignments have been completed. Each team is asked to provide 1 referee to
cover a minimum of 4 games during the tournament.
Rules:
A full set of tournament rules have been emailed to each region and are available by emailing the
tournament coordinator at [email protected].
Acceptance:
The application deadline is May 27th. All teams will be notified within 48 hrs of the application deadline
or receipt of application (whichever is latest) as to their status. Teams that are not accepted will be given
the option to have their complete application returned or to be placed on the waiting list.
How:
Please complete all forms electronically and return them to your Regional commissioner. Regional
commissioner, please make sure all document are correct and e-mail them to the tournament director
