Challenging kids to get 60 minutes of activity everyday to stay healthy! 27 July - 18 Sept. 2015 A Physical Activity Foundation program Kick, Jump, Throw Throwing, Rolling, Catching 17 Instructions: In pairs, ask the learners to try the following challenges: Throwing and catching movement challenges • • • • • • Throw the ball to partner (standing 3 strides away) Can your partner catch a high shoulder pass Can your partner catch a low throw Can your partner clap 3 times before catching ball Can your partner turn around and touch the ground before catching ball Throwing over a cone, each successful catch, partner moves backwards Tossing, throwing and rolling movement challenges • • • Toss a bean bag to partner (standing facing each other) – different challenges within this high, low, straight etc Toss a bean bag to partner (standing next to each other) - different challenges within this high, low, straight etc Rolling the ball to a target (their choice of ball) try and use all the balls available Duration: Equipment: Theme: 15 minutes Object Manipulation Questions: 1 ball for every pair 1 beanbag for every pair Picture: How did you and your partner work together to complete the challenges?
