WYSL SPRING U8 FESTIVAL
Team spotlight
Periodically we will pick teams from different clubs and
share their current stories. This month's team choice is
from Scarsdale Youth Soccer Club. They are the B121(9V9) Champion, and have advanced to the top of their
pool in the State Cup. Their coach, Simon Baines, has
organized a competitive trip to England stating,
.
" I feel our trip to England will not only be a worthwhile
soccer experience but also a great life/growing experience
for the boys. Last year we took the team down to Florida to
play in the Disney Classic and the lads loved every minute of
it. Experiences like this stay with the boys forever and only
add to their love and enjoyment of the game."

Back by popular demand, we are partnering again with UK Elite to provide our U8
divisions with another festival event to take place on Sunday, April 19
Boys will play at SUNY Purchase
Girls will play at Saxon Woods Park
First Game starts
8.20am. Final Games finish 11am.

The U8 Festival utilizes small sided fields and game format which allows for many
more touches on the ball, increased playing time, and more fun for our players. The
extensive positive feedback we received from our online survey underlined the
positive impacts the festival format had on our teams in general.
