When does registration open for the league?
A.
We will open online registration for the 2017 season August 1st, 2016. Davenport Babe Ruth will
draft teams in fall of 2016 for the 2017 season. This is so fall ball can be played and teams will
be set up for winter practices if they choose.

How many teams/players does Babe Ruth have in the league?
A.
Currently the league has 10 teams with 13 players drafted on each team.
Q.
What age group does the league provide baseball to?
A.
Davenport Babe Ruth is chartered for the 13-15 age groups. However, moving forward
Davenport Babe Ruth will have all 13 & 14 year old players receive priority draft until teams are
filled. If there are vacancies on team rosters after this, 15 year olds will be then be placed.

Does Babe Ruth have a “Swing Rule” when it comes to 13 year olds?
A.
Yes. Babe Ruth allows any player who is 12 years old on April 30th to play in our league. This rule
was put into effect to allow kids who have finished their time in Little League to be able to move
up with their friends.

What is the cost for registration?

The cost for registering your player is $155.00. This includes fall ball as well as team pop after all
regular season games.

Does the registration cost include a team uniform?
A.
No, each player is responsible for their own uniform cost.
Q.
Do players get drafted every year?
A.
No. Players will stay with their team for their 13 and 14 year old season.
Q.
When are regular season games played?
A.
Games are played Monday –Friday at 5:30 & 7:30 and Saturdays at 10:00, 12:15, 2:30, 4:45 and
7:00. Sunday’s are reserved for practices and rain make-ups.
