Interoperability - 1

Compendium to I-X communication:
– Can now pass complex plans and issues from
Compendium to an I-X panel.
– Creates environment for collaborative plan creation and
then execution.

I-X to Compendium?
– (Unsophisticated) facility exists…
– …but what should be passed in this direction? (i.e.,
when is it appropriate to switch to Compendium
collaborative exploration from I-X task activity?)
Workshop 3 : 11-12 Jun 2003

Interoperability - 2

I-X and the 3Store:
– I-X query (I-Query) agent able to create and send RDQL
queries to the 3Store, and translate results into I-X
messages.
– I-Query agent’s capabilities modelled as (panel) activities:
• e.g. Identify-steering-committee
– Information from the 3Store returned to the I-X user.
– (Developed as part of AKTive Portal Demo work.)

I-Query provides generic approach for modelling
‘external’ information-lookup capabilities…
