Making Sounds
Through play, I have explored a variety of ways of
making sounds. SCN 0-11a
Today we are going to find
out…
• That sound is a kind of energy
And we will…
• Be able to make our own sounds in
different ways!
Sound is a type of energy
caused by a vibration!
Does anyone know the part of our
body that lets us pick up sound?
All around us – right now – are
tiny air particles, so small we
cant see them with our eyes!
When something vibrates…it
causes the air particles to
move and bump into each other!
This is how sound travels to our ears
What can we do with our
bodies to make sounds?
What else do
we know that
makes sounds?
Talk to the person next to you and
see how many ideas you have!
Today we’re going to do some arts
and crafts to create our own
musical instruments!
