All The Talk's victory in the $125,000 event guaranteed the son of Stratum a place in the field of 16 for the $3.5 million Group I Tooheys New Golden Slipper at Rosehill on April 6. The Skyline Stakes carries Golden Slipper ballot exemption. "I'm not saying he's a good thing in the Slipper but they'll know he's in there," Portelli said. "He's a gross sort of colt so I'll either run him again or maybe trial him a week before. "That's a Gai Waterhouse trick and she's the best so I might follow her lead." The pure speed possessed by All The Talk has never been questioned but the chestnut flyer proved he isn't a one-trick pony when charging clear in the straight to win as he liked. "He settled so well," Portelli said. "I love the way he ran through the line today. "He found plenty today. "I'm so happy for the owners and the team at Elite Thoroughbreds." All The Talk ($4.80) defeated the Kelly Schweida-trained Octane Flyer ($26) by 3-1/2 lengths with Dothraki ($9), from the Gerald Ryan stable, three-quarters of a length away in third. All The Talk ran 1.09.76 for the 1200 metre trip. "I was able to get away with it early today and he settled a lot better," winning jockey Brenton Avdulla said. "I actually had to give him a squeeze a half mile out to get him going. "Half way up the straight we were in a world of our own, he switched off but he still ran through the line." The heavily backed favourite Good Job Bro ($3.40 to $2.70) raced up near the speed but on the firm surface there was no repeat of the finish he produced in his recent heavy track win at Warwick Farm. The market: All The Talk opened at $5.50 before firming to start at $4.80. Octane Flyer eased from $15 to $26 while Dothraki drifted alarmingly from $5.50 to $9. Outside the placegetters, Fuerza eased from $4 to $4.80 while Good Job Bro was $3.40 into $2.70 favouritism. The on-course market closed at 109 percent.
