Readers Digest Cops First Game in Basketball Tournament
MOUNT KISCO—
The Reader's Digest quintet won
the first game of a best-of-three
playoff for the championship of
the Mount Kisco Mens' basketball
league, played at the Mount Kisco
Boy's Club Monday night.
The Digest downed General Pre­
cision Laboratories of Pleasantville, the loop', runnerup during
the regulation season, il-52, to
take the first game of the playdown. The Digest lead the league
at season's end.
Mert Gatto .sparked the win for
the Digest with 19 points. Trees
Appedu hit 14 and John Yozzo and
Don-Otten each hooped ten for the
winners.
Neil Dieterichs matched Gatto's
performance wiin 19 for GPL.
Pete Gonzales and Willie Davis
hit 14 and nine for GPL.
The Digest took a 12 point lead
at the end of three periods after
leading 30-27 at the half.
The second game of the series
will be played tomorrow night at
8:30 at the Boys' Club. If GPL
should win the decider will be
