Welcome to the last session of the season. Session #3 will be full of team activities, swim meets and the use of our new
equipment thanks to our major sponsor, Scotiabank North. A BIG THANK YOU to our major donations, top 3 were Quiel
Rauda, Claire Dueck and Giovanni Tata. Great work to everyone who contributed. We are so very pleased and greatful to
Scotiabank North and the donations our swimmers raised. Scotiabank is looking for new
customers so please consider them for your future banking needs.
 Emails – We cannot stress enough that the majority of communication is via email so please check your emails on a
regular basis for updated news. Our calendar of events is subject to change so all updates are emailed to you.

Spring is here. The days are longer. Session 3 is upon us! Looking back over the last 2
sessions we have seen registration numbers increase in record growth and club records
fall at every swim meet. With these two factors; it tells us that the Spartans are getting
bigger and faster!! We are moving in the direction of success!
We have young talented swimmers who are learning and improving every practice. We
have encouraging parents who drive to practices and swim meets to make sure their
child gets to the pool. Those same parents also volunteer their time and donate their
money when needed. We have a board who makes decisions that helps us grow in success. We have our team manager
who finds sponsors and organizes events that bring in resources for the swimmers and coaches. And finally our coaching
staff who prepare plans for each program within each group, with the goals to turn those swimmers into qualifiers and
record holders.
Looking forward to our 3rd session, we have 2 meets that will be the entire clubs focus! May 6-7 weekend, LASC is hosting
their Spring Challenge, which will be a long course meet. We will also be hosting another mini meet within our club for ALL
Spartans to participate in closer to the end of June. This meet will be in similar nature to our session 1 meet with the
Wilson Wolverines and our Session 2 meet vs the parents and coaches. There are also 3 other meets that the Spartans have
some potential qualifiers to swim in!

stay up to date with all information regarding the club. Find us on Twitter and Facebook to get tweets and updates about
records and results from meets. We also have a You Tube channel where you can watch races from some of the 2016/17
swim meets! Finally, you can also email your swimmers coach or Myself directly to get answers to any questions that are
not on social media or that directly relates to your swimmers!
