Serving & Passing: Arguably the
two most important skills at any
level of volleyball. Athletes will be
exposed to Alliance fundamental
teaching keys and principles as well
as more advanced concepts related
to each skill.
Attacking: A combination of
armswing & footwork. Coaches will
introduce athletes to correct
posture, hand-on-ball contact, and
applicable footwork patterns.
Setting: In its purest form, setting
is about bettering the ball to
improve your team’s ability to be
more successful. Posture, hand
shape, hand positioning, delivery, &
footwork will be points of emphasis.
Defending: If you can keep the
ball from hitting the floor, your
team will likely win a lot of games.
Defense is about eyework, posture,
contact, & movement, but primarily
about attitude!
Wednesday Station Work:
These sessions are designed for
players who are looking for reps in
all five of the primary skill
categories. Players will rotate
through all five stations in 90
minutes.
