Athletes will be exposed to Alliance fundamental teaching keys and principles as well as more advanced concepts related to each skill. Attacking: A combination of armswing & footwork. Coaches will introduce athletes to correct posture, hand-on-ball contact, and applicable footwork patterns. Setting: In its purest form, setting is about bettering the ball to improve your team’s ability to be more successful. Posture, hand shape, hand positioning, delivery, & footwork will be points of emphasis. Defending: If you can keep the ball from hitting the floor, your team will likely win a lot of games. Defense is about eyework, posture, contact, & movement, but primarily about attitude! Wednesday Station Work: These sessions are designed for players who are looking for reps in all five of the primary skill categories. Players will rotate through all five stations in 90 minutes.
