PRESIDENT’S PUTTER 2017
1.
Players must hold a "competition" Handicap. This means that the player must have played in at least 3
Qualifying Competitions in the 12 month period immediately prior to 1 April 2017.
2.
Each match must be played on or before the date shown on the draw sheet. The winner of each match should
record the result on the draw sheet. Telephone results will not be accepted.
3.
In the event that a player cannot play on or before the date shown on the draw sheet, then the player available
to play may be awarded the win.
4.
Requests for an extension of time in which to play a match must be made in writing to the Vice-Captain, Phil
Daunt, [email protected] no less than 7 days before the stipulated play by date.
5.
It is the responsibility of both players to liaise with one another when booking their match. Anyone deemed to
be abusing the system will be removed from the competition.
6.
All matches must commence from the 1st Tee and be played to a finish, with 'shots' starting afresh for all playoff holes.
7.
Handicap Allowance – full difference between the handicaps of the two players at the time of the match –
maximum handicap 21. Players with a handicap higher than 21 may enter, but must play off a 21 handicap.
8.
5 day members can enter but will have to pay the appropriate green fee if the match is arranged to be played
on a weekend.
9.
Only Junior boys in handicap Categories 1 & 2 and aged 14 or above, will be eligible to enter.
10.
It is a WHITE TEE competition. Players should 'toss' for the honour on the 1st tee.
11.
1st round losers will be entered into the Plate competition.
All Committee decisions will be final.
