HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR
COOP?
• You will have completed ALL first year
courses by the end of this semester
• You will have a CGPA of at least 2.80
• You are NOT a Direct Entry Student
• You are enrolled in your second year
courses
• Not Fast tracking
ADMISSION PROCESS
• Application, statement, Resume & Cover Letter
submitted online
• 500 words: “Why I want to be a coop student”
• Each application & Statement assessed
• Students notified of eligibility to continue in the
process
• Invited to sign up for an interview
• Interviews held to determine applicants’ potential
for success
• Offers made to applicants – Return Offer with Plan

HOW TO REMAIN IN COOP
• Complete course as scheduled
• Secure employment for each work term*
• Earn a‘pass’ for each Work Term Report
• Receive a minimum‘satisfactory’ rating on
each employer’s work performance
evaluation
• Maintain the minimum CGPA requirement

HOW TO REMAIN IN COOP
• Comply with guidelines and policies

• Be current in program
• Complete the final year of the academic
program registered as a full-time student with a
minimum course load of 60%
(minimum of 9 hrs. per semester)
