ASSISTANT COACH and TEAM MANAGER
Netball South has been invited to enter a team in the U17 section of the England
Netball Competition to be held at the University of Nottingham over four days,
August 24 – 27 (travel on 23rd). This will involve intensive match-play competition,
with two matches each day.
Netball South would welcome applications from netball enthusiasts who are eager to
take on the role of (a) Assistant Coach, and (b) Team Manager, and to work with the
region’s best young netball players.
Trials will take place in the Sports Hall at St. Neot’s Preparatory School, St. Neot’s Road,
Eversley, Hook, Hants. RG27 0PN, 18.30 – 21.30 on Tuesday, 4th and 11th April 2017.
Training will be in the Sports Hall at St. Neot’s Preparatory School, 19.00 – 21.00 on the
following Tuesday evenings:April 25

June 13, 27
July 18
August 1, 15
Responsibilities include:Assistant Coach: Working with the Head Coach to deliver a programme of
coaching sessions that are motivating and demonstrate player improvement and
team success. Minimum UKCC Level 2 Coaching Award.
Team Manager: Managing the squad and taking responsibility for the welfare of
the athletes at all times. Being responsible for kit and equipment. Collating and
maintaining an athlete database, including medical details, emergency contacts
and accident/incident reports.
These are volunteer positions, with all travel and overnight expenses covered by
Netball South.
