MSP low-power microcontrollers from Texas Instruments (TI) are RISCbased, mixed-signal processors that integrate smart analog/digital
peripherals including advance features such as low-power embedded
RF and security such as AES encryption.

Ultra-low-power:

Low-power + performance:


MSP ultra-low-power microcontrollers are ideal in applications where the
majority of the microcontroller life is spent in standby. The latest addition
to this family is the series of MSP430FRx FRAM-based microcontrollers,
which offer high write speeds and nearly infinite endurance for enhanced
data-acquisition and logging from sensors as well as security capabilities
and new features that include IR modulation logic and dual analog-frontend’s for rotation detection.
MSP Low-power + performance microcontrollers from TI provide designers
with enhanced performance and increased design options with more
peripherals on chip while using less power than ever before. These MCUs
are ideal in mostly “on” battery-powered applications needing significant
compute requirements. The new MSP432™ microcontrollers in this family
are 32-bit microcontrollers offering higher performance with a
standardized ARM® core providing the low-power benefits of MSP
microcontrollers.
Wireless:

SimpleLink CC3x Wireless MCUs offer the next generation of TI's
embedded Wi-Fi that enables easier development of Internet of Things
(IoT) designs. This internet-on-a-chip portfolio is based on the industry's first
user-dedicated Wi-Fi microcontroller. These solutions are all WI-FI
CERTIFIED, the modules have FCC, IC, CE and TELEC certification, and
they were created to work well in low-power, battery-operated
applications, which is optimal for IoT, including home and building
automation, security, smart energy and industrial applications.

MSP Microcontrolers
MSPWare is a collection of user’s guides, code examples, training,
and other design resources for ALL MSP devices delivered in a
convenient package - essentially everything developers need to
become MSP430 and MSP432 microcontroller experts! In addition
to providing a complete collection of existing MSP430 and MSP432
MCU design resources, MSPWare also provides a wide selection of
highly abstracted software libraries ranging from device and
peripheral-specific such as MSP Driver Library or USB, to
application-specific such as Graphics Library or Capacitive Touch
Library. MSP Driver Library in particular is an essential library to help
software developers leverage high-level APIs to control low-level
and intricate hardware peripherals. As of today, MSP Driver Library
supports MSP430F5x / 6x, MSP430FRxx, MSP430i2x and MSP432P4x
series devices.

CODE COMPOSER STUDIO
Code Composer Studio is an integrated
development environment (IDE) that
supports TI's Microcontroller and
Embedded Processors portfolio. Code
Composer Studio comprises a suite of
tools used to develop and debug
embedded applications. It includes an
optimizing C/C++ compiler, source
code editor, project build environment,
debugger, profiler, and many other
features.
CLOUD TOOLS
CCS CLOUD
CCS Cloud is a web-based IDE that
allows you to create, edit and build
CCS and Energia projects. Once you
have successfully built your project,
you can download and run on your
connected LaunchPad. Basic
debugging, including features like
setting breakpoints and viewing
variable values is now supported with
CCS Cloud.
RESOURCE EXPLORER
Resource Explorer is a web based tool for browsing
and accessing contents of Software Packages in the
cloud without the need to download the entire
package.
With Resource Explorer you can:
•
Quickly find example, libraries and documents
related to development board or device
•
View documents and source code in the cloud
•
Import CCS and Energia examples directly to
CCS Cloud
•
Download selective content to your desktop
GUI COMPOSER
Use GUI Composer v2.0 to easily create
custom HTML GUIs that can interact with the
programs running on your target device. A
wide variety of different web components are
provided that allow you to control the target
device and display data sent from the target
device. GUI Composer is Ideal for creating GUI
front-ends for IoT devices and Launchpads
that can be accessed via the Web from a
smart phone, tablet or computer.
