Join the RSNO for a musical adventure like no other! From Beethoven to Bernstein,
Saint-Saëns to Searle, let your class experience Scotland’s National Orchestra in
its fabulous new, high-tech home in Glasgow this November. With music they’ll
love and recognise, a new interactive piece where pupils can craft music with the
Orchestra and the opportunity to experience our brand new app, this is the perfect
introduction to the Orchestra for young pupils.

The Teachers INSET sessions will allow teachers to bring a variety of tasks to
their class in support of a visit by an RSNO musician and their school’s trip to
the concert. They will have a step by step guide to helping their class compose
their very own piece based on the same concepts and ideas that inspired Oliver
Searle’s Sauchiehall, using classroom instruments (and any instrumentalists
in the class). Warm-up games and activities will be included as well as an
introduction to every piece in the programme. We will explore online materials
that will allow your class to perform a version of each piece arranged for any
ability. Opportunities for cross media tasks will be also be explored.

can be made to your booking after this date and refunds will not be issued • Concert information will be emailed to you shortly before the concert
with details of your seat allocations and other relevant event information • By being a member of the audience at an RSNO schools concert you may
be photographed or filmed and we may use the images and footage for our own promotional material. Please contact us if you do not wish to be
included in this.
