Chat at half time important Advantage and Flow A level 1 umpire will show evidence that they are aware that advantage can vary according to ball position on the pitch, defender or attacker, and will also demonstrate an awareness of when to whistle or not to whistle. Awareness of control issues must be evident. The Level 1 must be aware that possession is not advantage and control not compromised by advantage. This may affect a decision to make the match appropriate for coaching or assessment purposes.
