2016 - Wednesday Pool League - 2017
General Rules
1.
Team captains and bar owners are responsible for $24.00 each night which is $4.00 per
team player. Team is also responsible for total team money regardless of how many
players show. Money will be collected as it appears on the schedule. Dues may be paid
in full at the beginning of the season. A $50.00 SPONSOR FEE IS DUE THE FIRST
WEEK.

If any team drops out of the league they forfeit all money.
1.
A roster of 6 regular players must be submitted from each team prior to the start of the
league.
2.
You must be 21 years old to play.
3.
All games will be scheduled for Wednesday at 7:00pm, and no later that 7:15 pm. Any
player or substitute for that player not present at the start of his/her games is subject to
forfeiture of that game at the discretion of the opposing team.
4.
Each set will consist of 5 games - 3 double games then 2 single games. At the start of
each set the home team will put money in and break. After that, the losing team, doubles
or singles, puts money in and money always breaks. Player order for singles matches is
player listed first on the sheet for home and visitors play first singles game. Player listed
second play second singles game.
5.
Same player rotation must be used after each game, team captain is responsible for player
rotation.
6.
Partners are the only ones that can discuss a shot when it is your turn at the table. When it
is not your turn you must immediately move away from the table. There are no
restrictions on who you can talk to when it is not your turn.
Slow Play --- From the time all balls have stopped rolling you will be given 2 minutes to
select a shot and shoot. If 2 minutes has elapsed and no shot taken, the opposing captain
will instruct the other captain (team that is shooting) to start a one minute clock. If a shot
is not taken and the balls are not rolling within the 1 minute time period it will be Ballin-hand for the opposing team.
7.
All games will be played regardless of score.
8.
All games not played will be forfeited by the team not having enough players present.
9.
A player must play 4 matches for the same team to be eligible to play in the play-offs for
that team. (unlimited subs)
10.
If any player is barred from an establishment, he is not eligible to play in the
establishment.
11.
Any game that is protested should be played out as if no rules infraction occurred. If the
outcome of the game doesn't cancel the protest then the game should be replayed after
completion of the match. The final arbiters of the protest are the team captains and
league co-ordinator. Any protest that is not settled must be submitted in writing within
48 hours to Stanton Automatics, 2150 Ellis Dr., Auburn, NY 13021. Stanton
Automatics will discuss the problem with the captains and points will be dispersed
accordingly.
12.
Any member of a team that causes a disturbance at any time in the league, will be
disqualified, and his points will be forfeited for that game.
13.
Extenuating circumstances or bad weather postponement: must be made by the captains
by 5:00 pm the night of the match. It will be the responsibility of the captains and
sponsors to play the match within 1 week, unless all matches are canceled by the person
in charge.
14.
Personal pool cues may be used by other players only at the discretion of the owner.
15.
Prize money: At the end of the season, the total number of points played will be divided
into the total amount of money in the treasury, less expenses.
16.
Home team is responsible for the official score sheet.
17.
Each team captain must call 253-5573 (press extension 8) the night of the match with the
scores. $10.00 will be deducted from your prize money each time
you fail to call in with your score.
1.
In the event of absent players, a sub may be taken from the bar on the night of the league.
2.
There will be an open sub list. A person may sub for more the 1 team. But ONLY 1
team per night.
3.
Any person signed up as a regular for one team may not sub for any other team in the
league.
