A Gang of Thieves Busted: Five Cases of Theft Worked Out
With the arrest of accused 1) Kalu s/o Nanak Chand, 2) Amit @Pichku s/o
Deepchand, 3) Rakesh s/o Leelu Ram, 4) Vikas s/o Ravinder Kumar and 5)
Surender Kumar s/o Suresh Kumar, staff of PS Sarita Vihar, South- East Distt
Police has busted a gang of thieves and worked out five cases of mobile theft,
pick pocketing and theft. During investigation, seven stolen mobile phones have
also been recovered at their instance.
Incident, Investigation/Interrogation
In order to prevent incident of robbery and theft in running buses, a
special drive for bus checking and checking of known criminals has been
initiated on Mathura Road in the area of PS Sarita Vihar. Accordingly, different
teams were formed consisting of SI Nitin Kumar, SI Parvesh Kasana, SI
Nagender Nagar, SI Ajay Kumar, ASI Suresh Chand, HC Abad Haider, HC Vijay,
HC Lalit, Ct Anil, Ct. Parveen and Ct. Dharambir under the supervision of Insp.
Maninder Singh, S.H.O./Sarita Vihar and overall supervision of Sh V.K.Nayyar,
ACP/Sarita Vihar and deployed on Mathura Road for checking of buses. On
06.01.14 at about 2.30 PM, during bus checking at the bus stop of Madanpur
Khadar, HC Jugender and Ct Anil saw one person running behind four persons
and he was shouting “Chor-Chor, Pakdo-Pakdo”. On this, police personnel
swiftly apprehended all the four persons. During interrogation, they revealed
their name as Sonu @ Surender, Vikas, Rakesh @Kana and Amit. The
complainant Sh Ajay Kumar stated that he was travelling in a bus and they
pickpocket his purse. On this, the police staff conducted their search and stolen
purse of complainant was recovered from the possession of Amit and three
surgical blades, which are being used for pick-pocketing and one “Ustara”, have
been recovered from their possession. During interrogation, they disclosed
about their one more associate Kalu s/o Nanak Chand, a known B.C. of PS
Sarita Vihar. On 08.01.2014, the team also apprehended him while he was
riding on a motorcycle at Aali Vihar. On verification, motor cycle No DL-3SW8822 was found to be stolen from the area of PS Sarita Vihar vide FIR No.
515/13 and further, seven mobile phones were recovered from his possession.
During interrogation, it has been revealed that all accused persons are
the member of Kalu gang and involved in committing theft in moving buses. The
place, where they used to assemble is known as “Phool”, the route they chose is
known as “Danda” and the person who is responsible for stealing mobile phones,
cash, purse etc is known as “Machine”, whereas his associates who help the
machine and used to corner the victim are known as “Thekbaaz”. The gang is
known as “Company”. They felt happy to be called as the member of “Bad
Company”. These are specific terms used by the members of the gang for their
communication to establish place of commission of crime.
Profile.
1. Kalu aged about 33 years s/o Nanak Chand r/o H-43, Aali Vihar,
Sarita Vihar, New Delhi involved in 11 cases. He is an active B.C. of
Sarita Vihar.
2. Amit @ Pichku aged about 32 years, s/o Deepchand, r/o 1162,
Gautampuri Phase I, Badarpur, New Delhi is involved in 26 cases. He
is an active B.C. of PS Badarpur.
3. Rakesh @ Kana aged about 30 Years s/o Leelu Ram r/o 792,
Gautampuri Phase I, Badarpur, New Delhi. He is involved in 19 cases
and an active B.C. of PS Badarpur.
4. Vikas aged about 23 years, s/o Ravinder Kumar r/o 766, Gautampuri
Phase I, Badarpur.
5. Surender Kumar @ Sonu aged about 30 years, s/o Suresh Kumar
r/o A-299, Gautampuri Phase I, Badarpur, New Delhi.

PRESS RELEASE
On 3 January 2014, Shri Anil Kumar Lal, Administrator, EKAL
Foundation of India, Anandmai Marg, New Delhi-110020, while going home
in the evening at about 6.30 PM, saw two small children wandering on the
road near Govind Puri Metro Station. He realised that these girls have got
separated from their mother and he feared for their safety. He took them to
the metro station and after consultation with the traffic police on duty, he
called Police Control Room.
The Police Control Room on receiving the call from Shri Anil, directed
PCR Van K-49 which was on patrolling near Nathu Sweets Okhala, Phase-II.
The PCR staff comprising of I/C Van HC Pakheru Lal, gunman Ct. Sudhir
and driver Ct. Sonu immediately rushed to the spot and reached there at 6.40
PM. The PCR staff saw two small girls namely Kalpana aged 4 years and
Sithal aged 2 years alongwith a public person namely Shri Anil Kumar Lal.
The PCR staff made inquiries on the spot about the mother of the girls, but
nobody came forward with any information. The staff after prolonged
inquiries succeeded in locating the aunt of the children namely Anita aged
about 20 years. The minor girls were handed over to their aunt Mrs. Anita
after completing the formalities. In the meantime, one of the PCR staff
members had arranged for sweets for the girls.
If not for the PCR intervention and the services of the good samaritan
and responsible citizen Sh. Anil Kumar Lal, something untoward could have
happened to the children.
The above act on the part of the PCR staff reveal that they are quick
and professional in dealing such calls. Their presence of mind and immediate
action go to show that they are sensitive and serious in dealing with cases
concerning children especially the girl children. These PCR staff alongwith
Sh. Anil Kumar Lal deserve appreciation and gratitude from the Delhi
Police.

Night Robbery solved by PS Begumpur, Outer District
With the arrest of Baljeet Singh alias Pankaj S/o Shri Surjeet Singh R/o H. No.
139, Pocket-15, Sector-22, Rohini, Delhi aged about 23 years and Karamjeet Singh alias
Sunny S/o Shri Baljeet Singh R/o H. No. 97-98, Pocket-15, Sector-22, Rohini, Delhi aged
about 22 years staff of PS Begumpur, Outer district solved a Robbery.
Brief facts:On 08.01.2014, Shri Brajesh alias Kali Charan S/o Shri Nakshi Lal alias
Sohan Pal R/o Jaswant Colony, Budh Vihar, Phase-II, Delhi reported that he is an auto
driver. He was waiting for fetching passenger at Metro Station Paschim Vihar, Delhi. In
the mean time, two youths aged about 24-25 years approached and requested him to take
them to Sector-20, Rohini, Delhi. After getting them boarded he reached at Sector-20 and
asked them as to where they have to go. On this they asked the auto driver to take away for
a while and by pretending to search for the address, they took him to Sector-22, Pocket-17,
near Nagar Nigam School, Rohini, Delhi and asked him to stop the auto Rickshaw. They
de-boarded from the auto and also asked Brajesh to come out from the auto. They started
searching his pockets. On being objected to it, one of them assaulted him with a hard
object at his forehead due to which blood started oozing. They further robbed him of Rs.
1150/- from his purse, one mobile , Jacket and other belongings. Accordingly on the
above statement of Sh. Brajesh a case vide FIR No. 17/2014 U/s 394/34 IPC PS Begumpur
was registered and investigation was taken up.
Investigation:On receipt of a secret information a team under the Supervision of ACP Shri S.K.
Meena comprising of Insp. Rajesh Kumar (SHO/Begumpur) Insp. Sudhir Kumar (Insp.
Investigation) SI Sandeep Tushir No. D-4541, SI Sapan No. D-5060, SI Mahabir Prasad
No. 1539-D, ASI Ram Avtar No. 288/OD [ IO of the case] HC Narender Kumar No.
3107/OD, HC Rakesh No. 637/OD, Const. Krishan Kumar No. 3562/OD and Const. Vijay
Singh No. 1540/OD was constituted and apprehended the accused persons from Bans wala
Park, Sector-21, Rohini, Delhi. On sustained interrogation, the accused disclosed their
involvement in the robbery. The robbed property along with cash Rs. 520 /- were
recovered at their instance and the accused were arrested.

up to 10th standard. Thereafter his family moved to Delhi and lived at different places
and finally settled at Sector-22, Rohini, Delhi. He desired leading lavish life for which
he required handsome money. Hence he fell in to bad company.
2. Karamjeet Singh alias Sunny S/o Shri Baljeet Singh R/o H. No. 97-98, Pocket-15,
Sector-22, Rohini, Delhi aged about 22 years. He was born at Balbir Nagar, Shahdra,
Delhi and studied up to 12th class. His family shifted from there to Begum Vihar,
Begumpur, Delhi five years ago and finally started living at Sector-22, Rohini, Delhi
in a rented accommodation. He desired leading lavish life for which he required
handsome money. Hence he fell in to bad company.

NOTORIOURS SNATCHER ARRESTED
The staff of Police Station Rajouri Garden, West District
has arrested a notorious snatcher namely Rohit Thapa S/o Lt. Ashok
Kumar Thapa R/o 3/74 Subhash Nagar New Delhi age 20 years and
recovered a KARBON mobile phone which was snatched on 07-122013.

New Delhi age 20 years. He has studied up to 5th standard and
dropped out the school and indulged himself in inhaling drugs and
started snatching to fulfill his day today requirements.

INCIDENT AND TEAM INTERROGATION
On 09-01-2014, an information was received at PP MIG
Flats of Police Station Rajouri Garden that one snatcher involved in
incidents of snatching would come at Distt. Park, in front of
Cambridge Public School. Immediately, a team was constituted
comprising SI Rampal I/C PP MIG Flats, ASI Surender Singh and HC
Sri Ram under the supervision of SHO/Rajouri Garden and overall
supervision of ACP/R.G. A trap was laid near Distt. Park, in front of
Cambridge Public School to nab him. After pointing out by the
informer, the accused Rohit Thapa S/O Lt. Ashok Kumar Thapa R/o
3/74 Subhash Nagar New Delhi was arrested near the picket.
INTERROGATION AND CONFESSION
On sustained interrogation, Rohit Thapa confessed that on 0712-2013 he along with his associate Sonu snatched a mobile phone in
Tagore Garden Extn. This mobile has been recovered at the instance
of accused Rohit Thapa. Efforts are on for search of his associates.

INCIDENT, TEAM AND APPREHENSION
Keeping in view the continuing trend of motor cycle thefts in area of PS Hari
Nagar, on the direction of ACP/Tilak Nagar, Shri Vinit Kumar and under the
leadership of SHO Hari Nagar, Insp. Bhaskar Sharma, a team comprising of SI
Amit Kumar No. D-4398, HC Jai Parkash, 495/W and Ct. Sarwan, 1977/W was
constituted to collect information and develop inputs about the active auto lifters in
the area who were specifically targeting old motorcycles. On 09.01.2014, during
area patrolling, SI Amit Kumar No. D-4398 received an information from reliable
source that one boy who has been suspected of stealing motorcycles in PS Hari
Nagar, is roaming in CD-Block area of PS Hari Nagar on a motorcycle bearing
Haryana number plate. On the basis of said information, a trap was laid and one
minor was apprehended along with a motorcycle bearing no. HR-12J-7880. He
was asked to produce the documents of the said motorcycle but he couldn’t. On
further questioning, he disclosed that he had stolen three motorcycles, two from
the area of PS Hari Nagar and one from Rohtak, Haryana which was recovered
from his possession at the time of apprehension. Further, at his instance, two
more motorcycles stolen from the area of PS Hari Nagar were recovered.

Whereas a large number of Banks and their branches/ATMs have come in
Outer District, Delhi which are popularly known as commercials places and a large
number of people visit there to use the facilities available in such places. All the
managers of Banks/ATMs are hereby directed to install the CCTVs and cameras in all
banks/ATMs for security reasons.
2) And whereas, it has come to notice that certain criminal’s anti-social
elements/terrorists are using these facilities to mislead the security/investigating
agencies, create panic in the public, endanger the security of VVIPs and Govt.
Institutions help in the terrorist activities directly affecting the security of the State.
3) And whereas it is necessary to take speedy measures in this regard to prevent danger
to safety of human life, to thwart/prevent terrorist activities, which may affect the
security of the State and disturbance of public order and tranquility.
4) Now, therefore, I Ghan Shyam Bansal, Asstt. Commissioner of Police, Sub
Division Alipur, Outer District, Delhi in exercise of the power conferred upon me
under section 144 Cr.P.C. 1973 (No. 2 of 1974) read with Govt. of India, Ministry of

compliance by the bankers of such Banks and ATMs in the entire Sub Division
Alipur, Outer District, Delhi.
(a) Maintaining a register for identity of the visitor/user.
(b) Make an entry in the handwriting of the visitor/user mentioning name, address telephone
number and identity proof. The visitor/user shall also sign the register kept for this
purpose.
(c) The identity of the visitor/user shall be established through identity card, voter card, ration
card, driving license, passport, Adhar card and photo credit card (any one of them).
(d) Activity server log should be preserved in main server of CCTV camera and its record
should be preserved for at least six months.
(e) If any activity of the visit is of a suspicious nature the owner of banks and ATMs will
immediately inform the police station.
(f) Record be maintained about each and every CCTVs cameras.
(g) Make sure that the installed CCTVs and cameras are in working order in all the banks and
none of the banks and ATMs should be without CCTV cameras with immediate effect.
(h) If any bank and ATM is found without CCTV camera the concerned high authority will be
responsible for the above said lapse.
5) This order shall come into force with effect from 10.01.2014 and shall remain in
force
for a period of 60 days i.e. up to 10.03.2014 (both days inclusive) unless withdrawn
earlier.
6) Any person contravening this order shall be punishable under section 188 of the
Indian Penal Code.
7) As the notice cannot be served individually on all concerned, the order is passed
ex-parte. It shall be published for the information of the public through the press

Whereas a large number of NBFC (Non Banking Financial Companies) are
operational in Delhi and other parts of NCR, which are handling huge transactions
of cash and precious metals.
2.
And whereas, a large number of customers come to the said companies for day to
day transactions, it thus becomes necessary to have quality surveillance on their day
to day functioning.

And whereas, it has come to notice that certain criminals and anti-social elements
look for soft targets, particularly during the late evening hours and target employees
carrying huge cash/jewellery items and are vulnerable to crime and criminals, if
they are not guarded properly at their business premises and while in transit.
4.
And whereas, it is imperative to put some regulatory checks on the activities of such
NBFC (Non Banking Financial companies) so that the anti-social and criminal
elements do not cause danger to human life and effect loss of property.
Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by virtue of section 144
CrPC. 1973 (No.2 of 1974) read with Govt. of India, Ministry of Home Affairs,
New Delhi’s Notification No. U-11036/(i) UTL, Dated 09.09.2010. I Ghan Shyam

contractual workers working with them for access by the police as and when
required and ensure verification of antecedents of all the employee including
contractual employees.
Not following the procedure of ‘KNOW YOUR COSTOMER’ as issued by the
Reserved Bank of India for Nationalized Banks and a data base for same
shall be kept for access by the police as and when required.
Not maintaining digital record of all the visitors with their photo identity.
Not deploying armed security guards at the main entry of such premises and at any
other vulnerable point.
Not deploying armed security guards with the employees who carry huge
cash/gold/jewellery from one place to another. All high value transactions
must be done in a secured vehicle which must have CCTV installed.
No vehicles being used for transportation of cash or precious metal must be without
GPS for monitoring their movement.
No movement of large amount of cash or precious goods after sunset, be
undertaken.

This order shall come into force with effect from 10.01.2014 and shall remain in
force for a period of 60 days i.e. up to 10.03.2014 (both days inclusive) unless
withdrawn earlier.
6. Any person/employers/transporters etc. contravening these orders shall be liable to be
punished in accordance with the provisions of section 188 of the Indian Panel Code.
7. As the notice cannot be served individually on all concerned, the order is hereby passed

1. Whereas, there is a mushrooming of BPOs (Business process outsourcing Centers)
prominently known as Call Centers, Corporate houses, Media houses, companies,
organizations and firms in Delhi and other parts of the NCR offering employment
opportunity for the youth.
2. And whereas, the employees including young women from across the country have
been staying in various parts of Delhi while their work place may be in the NCR
region and their employers are providing cab service for the purpose of picking up
and dropping them from their places of stay to office and back. As these
organizations are functioning round the clock, the cabs are ferrying employees
even at late night hours. Such employers are reported to have hired cabs on
contract basis and have not been able to properly monitor these cab operators and
their drivers for ensuring safe and secure transportation of the employees resulting
in grave danger to human life, safety and security of the employees, especially of
women employees.
3. And whereas, it has come to notice that certain criminal and anti-social elements
look for soft targets, particularly during odd hours and the women employees who
travel during late night hours are vulnerable to crime and criminal acts by such
elements, if they are not dropped securely and safely at their places of stay.
4. And whereas, it is rendered imperative to put some regulatory checks on
organizations having such service of picking and dropping their employees and
transporters, security agencies, drivers and security guards involved in the same so
that anti-social and criminal elements may not cause danger to human life and
safety and their property and it is felt that immediate action is necessary in this
regard.
5. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the virtue of
section 144 Cr.P.C. 1973 (No. 2 of 1974) read with Govt. of India, Ministry of
Home Affairs, New Delhi’s Notification No. U-11036/(i) UTL dated . I, Ghan
Shyam Bansal, ACP/Sub Division Alipur, Outer District, Delhi do hereby make
this written order that all such organizations like BPOs, Corporate and Media
Houses, having the system of picking up and dropping their employees and the
concerned transporters, security agencies, drivers and security guards in the
jurisdiction of Sub-Division Alipur,Outer District, Delhi shall :a. Maintain a database of all employees, security personnel, cab drivers and
contractual workers working with them, for access by the police as and when
required.
b. Hire security personnel and other contractual personnel as far as possible
from licensed agencies only.
c. Ensure verification of antecedents of all their employees including
contractual employees.
d. Ensure that women employees are not made to travel alone with the cab
driver and a duly verified security guard or a male colleague (Regular
employee of the company) is invariably deployed in each cab carrying
women staff during night hours i.e. 8 PM to 7 AM.
e. Choose the route in such a manner that as far as possible a woman employee
is not the first one to be picked up or the last one to be dropped.
f. Ensure that during night hours the cab involved in transportation of women
employees picks up and drops such employees right at their houses, remains
halted at the point where a woman employee has been dropped till she
confirms her arrival/reaching at their residence/place of stay through a
telephone call.
g. Ensure that, whenever the house of a woman employee is so located that the
approach road is not motorable, the duly verified security guard or the male
colleague, during night hours, accompanies the employee on foot up to her
house and takes a confirmation about her safe arrival.
h. Exercise effective check and control on the vehicle’s movement in order to
check any unwarranted activities of the cab drivers, such as picking up
strangers, straying away from the designed route etc.

Whereas reports have been received that due to the situation
prevailing in the areas of Police Stations specified in the schedule appended
to this order, it is apprehended that terrorist/anti-social elements may seek
hideouts in the residential areas of the said Police Stations and there is
every likelihood of breach of peach and disturbance of public tranquility
and also there is grave danger to human life and safety and injury to public
property on that account.

landlords/tenants so that terrorists/anti-social elements in the guise of

Station concerned. All persons who intend to take accommodation on rent

in whose jurisdiction the premises fall. The persons dealing in property
business shall also inform in writing to the Station House Officer concerned

Whereas a large number of complaints are being received that people
purchasing liquor from liquor vends often start consuming the same it in front of the
liquor vend and at other public places. Vendors selling eatables and juices, at time,
also station themselves unauthorizedly outside liquor vends which further facilitates
this undesirable activity. At times, Barats accompany Barat also openly drink liquor
etc. on the roads while the Barats are moving. Drinking in public is a nuisance with a
serious potential to result in brawls and quarrels causing serious injuries/death and
damage to public and private property. This affects the peace and tranquility of the
area and creates problems in maintaining law and order.

And where it is necessary to take speedy measures in this regard to prevent
danger to human life of safety and to thwart/prevent un-toward incidents which may
affect the peace and tranquility of the area.

Install CCTV with sufficient number of cameras and recording system to
cover upto 50 meters area in front of the shop. The CCTV should
monitor anyone consuming liquor or facilitating consumption on liquor
or any unauthorized vendor stationed in the coverage area.
This CCTV system should become operational within 45 days from the
date of issue of this order.
The recording system shall preserve a digital record of CCTV coverage
for not less than 10 days.
The vend owner or his agent shall cause to copy the CCTV coverage on
a CD on a daily basis which shall then be handed over to the Beat
Constable of the area, against proper receipt in a register to be
maintained at the liquor vend.
Before starting sales for the day, the Manager of the liquor vend should
ensure that the CCTV system is in proper working order and in case any
defect is noticed, immediate action to get it rectified should be taken.
An entry should be made in the register and intimation in writing should
be sent to the Police Station simultaneously to be got duly received
from the Duty Officer of the Police Station mentioning Daily Dairy
Number on the intimation.
During the course of monitoring of the CCTV System, the Manager or
anyone specifically designated by the Manager for real time monitoring
of the CCTV shall immediately inform the Police Control Room at
telephone No. 100 and also the nearest Police Station in case any illegal
drinking in public or unauthorized vendor is noticed in the CCTV
coverage area.
The vend owner shall display prominently at least two bilingual sign
boards mentioning that drinking in public places is an offence and
standing of unauthorized vendors outside the liquor shop is strictly
prohibited. Telephone number of nearest Police Station shall also be
mentioned on the sign boards.

Delhi which are popularly known as Cyber Cafes and a large number of people visit
them to use the facilities available in such places including e-mail facility.

And whereas it has come to notice that certain criminal anti-social
elements/terrorists are using these facilities to mislead the security/investigating agencies,
create panic in the public, endanger the security of VVIPs and Govt. Institutions, help in
the terrorist activities directly affecting the security of the State.

And whereas it is necessary to take speedy measures in this behalf to
prevent danger to human life or safety, to thwart/prevent terrorist activities, which may
affect the security of the State and disturbance of public order and tranquility.

iii) Make an entry in the handwriting of the visitor/user mentioning name, address,
telephone number and identity proof. The visitor/user shall also sign the register
kept for this purpose;
iv) the identity of the visitor/user shall be established through identity card, voter
card, ration card, driving license, passport and photo credit card (any one of
them);
v) The users of cyber café are photographed on continuous basis and a record of the
same is maintained properly by the owner of Cyber Café.
vi) Activity server log should be preserved in main server and its record should be
preserved for at least six months;
vii) if any activity of the visitor is of a suspicious nature the owner of Cyber Café will
immediately inform the police station; and
viii) Record be maintained about the specific computer used by the person.

Whereas, a large number of people sell and purchase Second
Hand Vehicles including Motor Cycles, Scooters and Cars in Delhi
through dealers engaged in this profession.
2. And whereas, it has been noticed that the Second Hand Vehicles are
commonly sold without filling all the columns especially date of
transaction of Form No. 29 and Form No. 30 ( part-I-II) thereby
resulting in transfer of vehicle to number of purchasers before the
actual transfer of the vehicle in the records of Transport Authority. This
is to circumvent the requirement of section-50 of the Motor Vehicles
Act, 1988, that the fact of transfer of vehicle should be reported to the
Transport Authority within 14 days for local transfer and 45 days for
inter-district transfer.
3. And whereas, it has been noticed that the stolen vehicles involved in
crime are sold to several purchasers through dealers/agents of Second
Hand Vehicles. Such second hand vehicles are likely to be used for
commission of various type of crime like robbery etc. and may be used
even in terrorist activity.
4. And whereas, it has also been observed that the record of seller and
purchaser are not kept by the dealers or agents engaged in the
business of facilitating sale and purchase of Second Hand Vehicles
making it difficult for the investigation agencies to identify the criminals
involved in such crimes.
5. And whereas, it is rendered imperative to put regulatory check on
the vehicle dealers who deal in sale and purchase of Second Hand
Vehicles so that the anti social elements may not use them to sell the
stolen vehicles through them and it is felt that immediate action is
necessary in this regard.
6. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by
virtue of Sec. 144 Cr. P.C., 1973 (No. 2 of 1974) read with Govt. of
India, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi’s Notification No. U-11036/(i)

written order that all such Vehicle dealers who deal in sale and

b) Ensure that Form 29, Form 30 and the delivery letter are duly

to verify his or her address thereby paving the way for unscrupulous persons using the
courier services for illegal activities.

An whereas, instances have come to notice where criminals have used courier
services to send incriminatory items, contraband and even dead bodies in the guise of
courier.

And whereas, it has also been observed that the record of courier senders are not
kept by the courier services or agents engaged in the business of facilitating courier of
goods making it difficult for the investigation agencies to identify the culprits behind such
crimes.

And whereas, it is thus rendered imperative to put regulatory check on the private
courier services who deal in booking and sending goods from one place to another so that
the anti social elements may not be able to use them to send incriminatory things through
them and it is felt that immediate action is necessary in this regard.

booking and sending goods in the jurisdiction of Sub Division Alipur, Delhi shall:(a) Maintain a register of courier senders and detail of goods to be sent through courier.
(b) Keep copies of identification documents like clection card, ration card, PAN card,
Driving
licence etc. of the courier sender for access by the police as and when required.
(c) Cross-check from the concerned company or office if its representative or employee
approaches for getting the goods booked for courier in case sender is acting on behalf of a
company or office or organization.
(d) Generally satisfy oneself about the goods before accepting the packet/parcel booked for
courier.
(e) Install CCTV with sufficient number of cameras and recording system with play back
facility, to cover booking office and the area where goods are to be kept. The CCTV
should monitor anyone coming for booking a courier.
(f) The recording system shall preserve a digital record of CCTV coverage for not less
then 30 days.
(g) The private courier service or agent shall cause to copy the CCTV coverage on a CD
and hand over to the police whenever demanded.
(h) Inform the nearby police station if the courier sender of the goods is found suspicious.
