The theme for VBS this year comes from Acts 17:28a, “In We move because if we didn’t move, we wouldn’t exist.

Thanks to YOU last month we were able to collect 77 jars of Peanut Butter for the Rock River Food

WEST WING UPDATE!
Beginning on June 22, a crew of skilled volunteers will begin removing the ceiling tile in the west wing. This will better enable
Sjostrom, Inc., our contractors to plan and carry out the insulation repair. Initial estimates indicate that the project will take
three to four weeks. During the repair period, entry in the west wing will be on an “as required” basis only.

MISSION ENDOWMENT FUND
Our application deadline is swiftly approaching! Reminder that all applications, scholarship transcripts,

of the MEF Committee, or Pastor Twila. Applications are available on line or in the gathering space.
STOP AND SHOP AT CLC!
Do you want to give a beautiful gift to a loved one while, at the same time support an artisan and provide
a scholarship for a Christian in a developing country? Stop in at CLC’s Fair Trade shop located in the
“lounge” between Pastor Neal and Pastor Twila’s office. These items are a few of the remaining goods
from this spring’s Global Mission Fair Trade Fair.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Thank you to the over 40 volunteers and 40 youth who
participated in Vacation Bible School this month. You all
did fantastic work, and these programs could not happen
without you.
VBS was an amazing time where youth learned that “In God
we live, move and exist,” through science projects, crafts,
Bible stories, games, song, and dance! It attracts people
from both within the church and those outside the
church.
Therefore, VBS is evangelism as well as
discipleship!
So to all of you who participated, thanks experiencing and
spreading the good news of Jesus Christ!

FUNERAL HELP NEEDED
One of the wonderful, caring ministries we provide at CLC, for families who have lost a
loved one, is the funeral luncheon. Volunteers help set up, serve, and clean up. The
more hands we have the quicker the tasks get done. Would you have 3-4 hours for this
ministry? Might you be willing to provide a salad or dessert? Please contact the church
office at 815-885-2522 or Valerie Dusso ([email protected]).
