CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2017
Sunday 18th June to Sunday 2nd July
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
The Club Championships 2017 starts on Sunday 18th June. Players will need to be available for the majority of
the 2 weeks as I schedule all of the matches. You won’t however play every day and the amount you play will
also depend on the number of events you enter. Most matches will be played in the second week however some
matches might be played during the first week depending on the size of entry. All Main events will be played in
the evenings and if players are available Senior Events will be played during the afternoons.
All semi finals will take place on Saturday 1st July with play commencing at 10.00 a.m
Finals Day will be Sunday 2nd July with play commencing at 10.00 a.m. All finals have to be played on this day,
both Main draw and consolation events.
Finalists should be prepared to play at any time during the day if required by bad weather conditions.
All adult playing members and juniors over the age of 14 are eligible to enter
The players` responsibilities are:
To be free to play at the time agreed with the referee and to provide balls for their matches. Hosting balls will
be available to be used if required and New Balls will be used for all Semi Finals and Finals.
Entries on the enclosed form with correct fees should be posted in the red Head Coach Box, which is situated
next to the pigeonholes by the main entrance. Closing date is midnight on Monday 29th May. Only completed
entry forms with appropriate fees will be accepted, late entries by any means will not be allowed.
The Tournament will be conducted under the Rules of Lawn Tennis and the Rules and Regulations of the LTA.
Each match will be the best of 3 sets with tie breaks in all three sets at 6-6.
The Referee of these Championships is Andrew Cook, 07940 419655. For all matters relating to this Tournament
the Referee’s decision is final.
The draw will be posted on the notice board by Saturday 10th June with timings for each round/event. These
timings must be stuck to unless in exceptional circumstances as we only have 2 weeks to get the events played
in.
Players who lose their first match will be entered into a consolation event where numbers allow.
MEN’S SINGLES
The Men’s singles again this year will be split into different sections with each section having it’s own final.
Which section you are in will be decided on LTA rating/ability. All semi-finalists will move into the next section
but will still play the semi finals/finals in their own section also. If you move from one section to another but lose
your first match in that section you are not eligible for the consolation event in that section.
