Champion Carcass of the Show: $500
Prize Money: 1st $250, 2nd $125 Per Class
Rules:
1. Porker Pigs to weigh 55-65kg with a P2 of 12mm and under hot
dressed weight.
2. Bacon Pigs to weigh 65.1-85kg with a P2 of 12 mm and under hot
dressed weight.
2. Exhibits must not be removed before 5pm, 7th May 2017.
3. Pigs to be killed by Swickers Kingaroy Bacon Factory.
4. Delivery of Pigs to be made for slaughter by Tuesday 2nd of May
2017.
5. Judging will take place on the 4th May 2017. Winners announced at
The Dinner and Presentation Evening.
6. Each Exhibit MUST be individually Identifiable. With distinct Pork or
Bacon Class Markings
7. Each entry must be accompanied by an NVD.
8. The flitch will be forwarded to the Kingaroy Show Society for exhibition at show.
9. The exhibitor’s remaining carcass can be purchased by the operator
of the exhibitor’s choice. Please note the exhibitor must inform
the buyer that the carcass will have fletch missing
10. One point will be deducted for each kilo above or below hot
dressed weight limit.
11. All exhibits will be judged in the form of a side of Pork on confirmation and suitability to modern trade requirements.
12. Maximum of (2) two pigs per tattoo per class

Dear Pig Producer,
This year marks the 110th Show of the South Burnett National Show Society
(Kingaroy). In 2017 the SBNSS wish’s to acknowledge and highlight all areas of
the rural industry and at our show especially The Pork Industry.
We are asking for your support in this section of the Show to promote the pork
industry. Please support our Pork and Bacon Carcase section at this year’s show
so it can be recognised as one of the Major Rural Industries throughout the
South Burnett.
In addition to the Pork and Bacon Carcass competition, this year there will be a
presentation evening held on Thursday 4 th May. The Dinner and Presentation
Night is open to all competitors and their families and will be held at Cassis on
Booie Restaurant.
