** EMBARGOED UNTIL 24 JUNE 2013 9AM** 'All of #OneSongaWeek' and #LondonEyeEP Released July 1 on iTunes 6 days notice to turn 8 microphones, 7 people, 6 cameras, 3 instruments, 2 laptops, 1 cup of tea (Frank’s) and not a single plug socket into something really special. Frank Hamilton is back with a bright new idea. On 24th March 2013 he became the first person ever to record an EP (with strings) onboard the EDF Energy London Eye in the time it takes to go round once (28 minutes). This won’t be sitting around on a dusty shelf (or a computer desktop) as it has been put together with the entire 52 song collection of 2012’s #OneSongaWeek project. Fans can buy 52 songs + the 4 videos + a chord/lyric e-book on July 1st from iTunes. Having spent the whole of 2012 writing, recording and releasing a song a week, his 20 track 'Best of' album was released in December and charted at #1 on the iTunes singer/songwriter chart (outselling Ed Sheeran, Jake Bugg, Gabrielle Aplin, Ben Howard) as well as #21 in the overall album chart. #OneSongaWeek was always going to be a tough act to follow but the #LondonEyeEP is well-worthy of being it's successor. Now combining the two seemed like the best way to package for the fans. Frank says “The plan was to take some of my favourite songs from last year and make a 4-track EP onboard the London Eye. Much like it's predecessor (#OneSongaWeek), the #LondonEyeEP started out as a silly idea and quickly became something more. The whole experience was incredible but very stressful. I'd never played with strings at all before, let alone 450 feet above the Thames in a moving fishbowl!” Frank’s supporters/collaborators include Ed Sheeran, Newton Faulkner, The Crimea, Lauren Aquilina, Mark Grist, Ryan Keen, Lyracis and Dion Dublin, to name a few. There wasn’t enough room for them all in the EDF Energy London Eye capsule but they were there in spirit!
