We have scheduled two workshops in April. All workshops begin at 5 PM at the Emily K Center. NAME DESCRIPTION Jumpstart Creating a College List Jumpstart gives students an overview of what we do and how we do it, and is the perfect place to start for all students. Led by Teen Advisors, students will identify their strengths and how to use them in the college application process. Creating a College List helps students identify what they want in a college. Led by Teen Advisors, students will establish individual criteria for creating a well-rounded college list. DESIGNED FOR… OFFERED* Mondays 9th-12th 4/3, 4/24 Thursdays 11th and 12th 4/6, 4/20, 4/27 What workshops can we offer on demand? In addition to the Jumpstart and Creating a College List workshops described above, we also offer two more workshops on demand. NAME DESCRIPTION In this workshop, students will Understanding understand how financial aid is awarded by colleges. We give an Financial Aid overview of the FAFSA and provide and FAFSA tips for filing. We will not complete the entire FAFSA in this workshop. It’s Okay to Brag! is designed specifically for early high school students—9th and 10th grade. Led by It’s Okay to Teen Advisors, students will develop an important life skill and gain the Brag! confidence they need to stand out from the crowd. DESIGNED FOR… OFFERED We offer these workshops on demand! 11th and 12th 9th-10th, but 11th and 12th welcome! For individual students, walk in during our office hours, and we’re happy to work with you. For groups, contact us to schedule a workshop! Teen advisors and staff can work with your group outside of office hours. I’ve never been to Game Plan: College before. Where do I start? The first step to getting involved at Game Plan: College is a Jumpstart Workshop! We have Jumpstarts every Monday at 5 PM.
