Important Things to Note about
Try Outs
Candidates can do another Cary-Grove fall sport and coaches will
work with other coaches to accommodate these girls. These girls
will be placed on a squad based on their tryout skills. Once they
are able to fully commit, their skills will be retested to see if that
squad is the best fit.
Cheerleaders may not participate in any club sport if they are part
of the Cary Grove Cheerleading
Teams will be chosen strictly on skills throughout the tryout
process.
Girls can be moved up or down if skills are gained or not
maintained based on coaches discretion during practices
•
•
Tryouts will be run by CG cheer coaches and closed to all
others.
All girls will be judged on the following
Motions, Running/Standing Tumbling, Showmanship, Stunts,
Stunting Skills based on position, Jumps, and a Timed Mile
Girls will be judged on their Stunting Skills in regards to their
positions
Flyers will be judged on their skills executed, flexibility, and
baskets
Bases and back spots will be judged on the skills they execute
and strength
