Year 4/5 Basketball Festival - Leeds North West School Sports

October 2015
This event is for Active Schools only.
Dear Y4/5 Teacher,
It is with great pleasure that I invite your school to the Leeds North West Y4/5 Basketball
Festival. This is a fun festival to provide an opportunity for your pupils to showcase
basketball skills learnt in lessons.
A choice of four central venues has been provided, please just select one venue you
wish to compete at.
The winning teams from each heat will proceed to the SSP Y4/5 Basketball:
Friday 26th February 2015 at Leeds Becketts University. 4.00-5.30pm.
After the final players, teachers & parents have been invited to stay to watch the Leeds
Force BBL game v Manchester Giants at 7.30pm.
All matches during the festival will be 5-a-side; however, you may bring squads of up to
10 players (at least 2 of whom being girls). You can enter up to 2 teams if you wish
(numbers permitting).
Please aim to bring at least one pupil that is new to inter school competition.
Please state on the reply slip enclosed the number of teams you wish to enter. I would
be grateful if you could fax this back to by Friday 4th December 15. Once I have
confirmation of your entry I can then pass on some more details to you.
If you have any further enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact me on
Kind Regards
Natalie Mallinson
