Timbila Game Reserve
Timbila means “Rhythm of the Earth” and on the banks of the Groot River you will fell it in
your soul.
Total privacy is ensured, whether you stay in one of the tented bush camps or farmhouse. All
accommodation is completely equipped, self-catering units with braai facilities, kitchenware and
bedding.
Timbila Camp – Sleeps 12
The camp is situated on the banks of the Groot River – Here you can literally fish from your own deck
or take a dive into the river on a hot summer’s day. A braai area as well as the undercover kitchen is
situated between the two en-suite safari tents with a separate bathroom for the four dome tents.
Timbila Camp consists of:
2 x Luxury en-suite (shower basin and toilet) safari tents with double beds and covered sundowner
decks overlooking the river with lovely views of the mountains and reserve
4 x Dome tents (3 x 3) sleeping 2 each.
Minimum fee R 1 200 per night (includes first 4 guest’s)
R 250 p.p.p.n for additional guests
R 150 per night for children under 12
Mahlangeni Camp – Sleeps 6
The camp is situated on the banks of the Groot River with a big braai area and a kitchen in the middle
of a wooden deck. The deck also hosts the tents and a communal bathroom.
Mahlangeni Camp consists of:
1 x Dome tent with a double bed
2 x Dome tents with a ¾ bed and single bed in each
Minimum fee R 600 per night (includes first 2 guests)
R 250 p.p.p.n for additional guests
R 150 per night for children under 12
Nyala Camp –Sleeps 6
The camp is situated on the banks of the Groot River with a big braai area under trees. There is a braai
area as well as an enclosed kitchen and a separate bathroom for the two dome tents.
Nyala Camp consists of:
Luxury en-suite stone cottage with a double bed
2 x Dome tents with 2 single beds each
Minimum fee R 600 per night (includes first 2 guests)
R 250 p.p.p.n for additional guests
R 150 per night for children under 12
Campsites
The campsites have 220v power points for your use, running water, lights at each braai area and a
choice of shade or open blue sky (for winter time). A communal kitchen and ablution block will
make your camping experience an enjoyable one.
Tariffs:
R 100 per vehicle per day – Allows you to do you own game drives
R 100 p.p.p.n. – Adults
R 50 per night for children under 12 – toddlers free
Note:
To confirm a booking a 50% of the accommodation fee is required within 4 (four) days of
reservation.
Refund of deposit
- 8 weeks or more before reservation; 80% of deposit
- 2 to 8 weeks before reservation; 10% of deposit per full week of notice of cancellation
- 2 weeks or shorter before reservation; 0% of deposit
We provide wood for the first fire. Guests are not allowed to collect wood in the veld.
Unfortunately quad bikes of scramblers are not allowed in the veld.
We request that you arrive after 14h00. Departure time is before 11h00 unless arranged otherwise.
