2010 Field Request Information
Southern California (Cathedral City, Jurupa/Riverside, Chino Hills and West Covina)
Thank you for your interest in hosting your tournament at Big League Dreams Sports Park in Cathedral City,
California (five fields), Jurupa/Riverside, California (seven fields), Chino Hills, California (six fields) and West
Covina, California (six fields). We are accepting field requests for open dates from January 2010 through
December 2010.
Please read carefully all sections of this field request as some information has changed.
Requests
All field requests will be accepted from recognized and qualified tournament promoters. Big League Dreams will
review all requests received by the deadline date. Priority will be given to promoters who have a continuous
proven track record of success with Big League Dreams. References should be included with any date request
from promoters that are new to Big League Dreams. Be sure to include any additional data regarding the
tournament that might aid Big League Dreams’ decision-making process. Priority for requests will be given to
promoters that have demonstrated a proven success and maintain a continued support of our Cathedral
City, Jurupa/Riverside, Chino Hills and West Covina facilities.
Field requests will be accepted from independent and association promoters. Members of associations should
submit their date request through their director unless prior arrangements have been made with Big League
Dreams. Association directors are encouraged to copy this information to all their promoters so they may be
made aware of the Big League Dreams requirements.
Tournament Contract
Upon awarding of dates, all promoters will be required to sign a Big League Dreams Tournament Contract. Until
such contract is fully executed, all dates are held on a tentative basis only. This agreement will include possible
field restrictions for the awarded date, souvenir sales restrictions, deadlines for getting information to the park
general manager regarding game times, minimum field guarantee, insurance, deposit, etc.
Insurance Requirements
One of the contractual requirements is for the association/organization to maintain insurance for all events it hosts
at Big League Dreams Sports Parks. Evidence of this coverage will only be accepted in the form of a Certificate
of Insurance. A copy of this certificate must be on file at our headquarter office no later than thirty (30) days prior
to the event. The minimum requirement is $2 million dollars general liability coverage with participant coverage.
Big League Dreams affiliates must be named as additional insureds as follows:

Blackout Dates/Limited Availability
Some dates are not available or have limited availability due to league commitments, Big League Dreams events
and maintenance periods. Requests for blackout and limited availability dates will be accepted and
considered on a space-available basis. The restrictions will be available upon the signing of the Tournament
Contract or at least thirty days prior to the requested date of event.
Holiday Weekends
Holiday weekends (three day weekends) are available for tournaments at all four facilities. The field rental rate is
higher than the regular weekend rate. Priority will be given to date requests for all four parks in Southern
California on the same weekend and for multiple holiday weekend requests.
Field Rental Rates and Minimums
The 2010 field rental rates and minimum number of games for each facility and holiday weekend requests are as
follows:
Date requests for tournaments that do not meet the requirements for the minimum number of games below will be accepted and
considered on a secondary basis.
The minimum rental is the amount of field rental that would be due based on the minimum number of games. Special
consideration will be given to bids that offer a higher minimum rental or per game rate over the course of several date requests.
Rates below are based on a Saturday and/or Sunday tournament. Holiday weekend rates are based on a Saturday and Sunday
and either a Monday or Friday depending on holiday. Tournaments on any other days are subject to our corporate/group
business rates. Please call for more information on availability and rates for those dates.

The minimum number of games for dates with restricted availability will be set in the Big League Dreams
Tournament Contract.
Complete tournament packages are also available. Big League Dreams can provide umpires, scorekeepers,
balls, awards and tournament coordination in a package or as needed. Please call for more details on these
tournament packages.
Field rentals and souvenir sales commissions are due prior to completion of the final game of the tournament,
unless prior arrangements have been approved at the time of contract signing. Net 7 terms are available to
promoters with an established credit record and current account. All promoters are subject to an estimated
fifty percent deposit thirty days prior to the event. Rentals that are not paid on a timely basis are subject to
collection fees and cancellation of any remaining dates that may have been awarded.
Tournament Souvenir Sales, Vendors and Sponsors
Big League Dreams reserves the right to not allow souvenir sales, outside vendors or tournament
sponsors on any event. Promoters may operate tournament souvenir sales under the following conditions:
1) Only tournament specific items (tournament t-shirt, sweatshirt or hat) can be sold during the event.
2) The item must have a tournament logo/design that is specific to that event.
3) The item must also have an approved Big League Dreams logo. Items may be sold without a logo if a location
line is used mentioning “Big League Dreams Sports Park” and the city/location.
4) A fee of $2 per item sold must be paid to Big League Dreams.
Any other item sales or outside vendor participation must be approved at the time of the Tournament
Contract signing and are subject to additional charges.
All tournament sponsorships must be approved prior to the tournament to avoid any conflicts with
existing Big League Dreams partners. Field rental rates do not include display/merchandise rights for a
tournament sponsor. All sponsorship participation must be approved at the time of the Tournament
Contract signing and are subject to additional charges.

Host Hotels
Big League Dreams has contracted host hotels for each facility. Tournament promoters using Big League
Dreams Sports Parks may not promote the use of any hotel that is not a host property for any event hosted at Big
League Dreams. More details are available in the Big League Dreams Tournament Contract.
Deadline
Date request forms should be returned to Kevin Flora by mail, fax or e-mail no later than
Sunday November 1, 2009. Request forms received after the deadline date will be filled on a spaceremaining basis.
Awarded tournaments will be posted to Big League Dreams’ website no later than Friday November 13th.
