Be a Butcher, Tuesday 29th March
Help Charlie the butcher to prepare burgers and sausages. Visit the animals
and learn how they are reared here on the farm.
Be a Farmer, Wednesday 30th March
Experience life on an organic farm. Get involved with some farm chores
and lend a hand to farmer Ben. Be prepared for mud and fun.
Be a Bushcrafter, Thursday 31st March
Learn some basic woodland survival skills – shelter building and fire
lighting. Old clothes essential.
Gardening for Gifts, Tuesday 5th April
A mud packed day! Help out in the farm garden, growing and harvesting
seasonal crops. Make and take away your own piece of Fordhall.
Be a Pizza Baker, Thursday 7th April
Spend the day discovering the farm in Spring. Harvest seasonal ingredients
from the farm to make and bake delicious pizzas in our outdoor clay oven.
Be a Conservationist, Thursday 2nd June
Have you ever fancied trying something completely different? Test your
wildlife identification skills and carry out some practical conservation tasks
to help improve our wildlife habitats here at Fordhall.
A limited number of fully subsidised places are available to
families on low incomes who meet the eligibility criteria.
Suitable for ages 6 - 16 yrs.
Cost per place, per day £25, 10am - 3pm
Bring a packed lunch and be prepared for all weathers!
